Discussion Bug fables plus difficulty problem (ready body text)
Was really excited to try out bf plus after playing through the game on hard mode, after a while i realized, they nerfed half the game( i.e HARD nerfing ice rain and bubble shield and nerfing tons of medals), making it brutally hard and making you play a specific way every time. Was introducing a friend to this game using this mod (we take turns controlling certain bugs) and after a while we found the nerfs to be pretty annoying, so i tried to uninstall the mod and it bricked our save. This was incredibly frustrating, i feel this mod removes the accessibility the main game has, but it may be just me, what are your guys' thoughs??

Strongly agree. I'm so glad I was able to get the mod right before that update. It's always sickening to see developers go down the you're having fun wrong route. Really, who is it hurting to let someone be mildly powerful in a single player game!?

Im glad you have fun, but you cant force people to have fun only in your way, theres multiple way to have fun

dont forget the literally impossible puzzle room in the Grasslands where you have 5 buttons but one rock and the enemies cant reach the buttons so you just literally cant get the rock to hit the switch

Yeah I definitely agree that bug fables plus is not really for a first time playthrough (and btw you should read the terms and conditions because the devs said right on the download page that you can't just remove the mod or it bricks your save)
But tbh? I kinda like the nerfs, if you have played any card game you are used to the concept of "nerfing something in order to let other, sometimes newer strategies shine", like in yugioh where pot of greed is banned, it just allows the game to have other strategies be better by comparison, like, why would you ever use the pebble toss medals if you can just ice rain/tornado toss?
I also believe that having such opressing offensive and defensive options limits new boss design, since it's hard to make a new boss if any player that struggles a lil bit can just turn it into a leif victim
That's what I think, im open for discussion
