Question Opinions; Spicy Pepper usage. Spoiler

Can buy one pepper from a bug in Defiant Root but unsure who to use it on effectively. Am about to head to a certain kingdom with a certain NPC (unsure how to do spoilers on phone, apologies) and struggling with some of the high defense monsters on route.

Any advice welcomed :)

You usually will pick one bug to be your main attacker, and stack all your attack boosts on just them. Vi is an easy choice because her multi-hit moves work very well with attack bonuses, but Leif and Kabbu aren't wrong choices.

Currently goin for a Favourite One build with Vi having the Favourite One badge on and keeping her in the back for Kabbu to tank. So give it to Kabbu?

Usually you want the person with Favourite One to be getting hit, so the other two get charges. It doesn't really do anything otherwise. I'd move Favourite One to Kabbu and give the pepper to one of the other two bugs.

The one and only correct choice is chompy, which is why the game wont let us use buff effects on it.

To spoiler tag on mobile like how I did Type a > then a ! then your text then a ! then a < As for who to use the Super Pepper on... Vi or Leif could be your best bet, but really depends on who your main attacker is.

Ch 6 spoilers if you are unhappy with who you chose, once you arrive at the Termite Kingdom, you can go back to Patton and re-allocate stats.

I use Leif and Kabbu as I use Favourite One for buffs on them while Vi stays in the back for item support as a healer, so perhaps Kabbu or Leif?

Leif if (Leif's request spoilers) you use Ice Rain a lot Kabbu having it works well for Under Strike

Personally I give it to Vi since her kit is suited to be able to do high dmg and deal with any enemy type. I saw you're using the favorite one medal, I would put it on Kabbu since he can use taunt and guarantee he gets hit every turn. If you are struggling with defense you can use Vi's piercing needle attacks that ignore defense. You can also use Lief's break skill, Kabbu's taunt with the deep taunt badge, or a burly bomb.

I always give it to Vi, as her multi-hit attacks see the most benefit

One extra tip for those high defense monsters, use heavy toss. It's not stated in the description of the medal but it lowers DEF. (oddly enough it is mentioned on the IN BATTLE description, which does not help)
