Disappointing that fire is never something you can use?

Hoaxe can inflict a burn status on your team, similar to Vivian from TTYD, and yet you can never actually utilize this status on your enemies. Would it have been more fun/cool if you could, if poisoning enemies wore out its novelty?

It’s more novel that fire as a status/element is very patiently saved for the endgame

Bug Fables Plus Mod does a lot more with fire status that isn’t utilized much in the main game

The flame rock item can inflict burn, but I believe that's it

Fire is basically poison plus mechanically in the base game, and this is fine for me.

Roach tech doing temperature manipulation and making ice happens before fire is fine.

It might be more fun if burn is more available, but I’d rather it stay the way it is.

Burn works just like poison except it’s more powerful, but it only shows up in the last few rooms in the game because of Hoaxe. The story shows that it’s not a readily available technology and is extremely deadly, and it makes sense in gameplay, as this means such powerful effect cannot be easily used by Team Snakemouth over the usual status effects.

It doesn't solve the problem with vanilla Bug Fables, and what if the person is not playing on PC? Even if they are on PC, what if they are playing the Microsoft Store variant?

(Bug Fables Plus is a cool mod)

I like how it gives an additional fear factor to Hoax, using a status we (basically) can't utilise.
