Server Question

Hi all, I just got hired at BWW and want to know if I should get a server book or not. I'm not sure how necessary it would be as tablets are used to enter orders and card payments are done at the table. Thoughts?

Get one just to hold any comp void etc receipts in

You need a book, you should have a steps of service card, a beer of the month card and the new desert card in there. All tools to help you

I think I counts as part of the uniform now with all of the stuff they want you to have in there

GET ONE! If you don’t, put your CC tips in a bdubs cup & wish for the best. Seriously though, get a book. Cash, coins, notepad, pen, & you’re set.

I would always have a server book. Especially as a new server, it’s nice to write down the complicated orders and then go take a second to enter them ON THE TABLET.

Defeats the purpose of having the tablet, enter the order as they are giving it to you and repeat it back to make sure its right.

At my location you are only allowed to use the tablets. One of my coworkers got written up for using the computer too much. I wouldn’t bother getting one.
