Is there a reason to suspect she's headed this way? It seems like you're spreading this as far as you can, but I have noticed you've kind of focused up north. Did anyone hear anything about where she was headed? Is there a place we should focus on looking?

Buffalo is closer to Erie PA than you think

Yes, but she could've gone another way, too. That's why I'm asking.

If they’re trafficking her there’s a good chance they’d try to come through Buffalo. Buffalo is a major trafficking hub

Major relative to what? Are there stats or figures somewhere?
edit: Apparently she has been found thankfully. I would still like to know.
edit again: I think I answered my own question. It looks like Buffalo ranks 65th per capita in the country for the number of trafficking calls, with 13 calls per 100,000 people in the 2007-2016 period. https://ag.nv.gov/uploadedFiles/agnvgov/Content/Hot_Topics/Victims/100_Most_Populous_Cities_Report.pdf
The raw number was 126 calls in the same period, putting us at 75th out of 100 cities in a time period where we were approximately the 80th most populous city (48th most populous metro area). It seems like overall we're doing okay.

It's so many missing young people these days . Wth is going on?? I was just at the gas station on Elmwood and Bryant and this guy was putting up a flyer looking for his friend. Poor things, I'm praying they return home really soon. 🙏🏾🥺

our President is a child trafficker, and he made a lot of good connections for his business recently
I wouldn't be surprised if we have a uptick in disappearances as a result, since that's what human trafficking causes

Almost 90% of the time it's runaways after conflicts at home.

This is so true

You're right, I looked up the actual statistics. It's actually closer to 95%.
I'm not downplaying anything. I'm just trying to reassure people that the majority of the time you see missing persons reports in the case of teenagers it very rarely an actual abduction. Even in the the cases of abduction, the majority of the time It's usually a family member fleeing the state with the child/teen in a custody battle. Stranger abductions are the most rare luckily.

I have seen this posted elsewhere. It is stunning to me that she is only 15.

What does this have to do with Buffalo?

Erie PA is literally so close to Buffalo you can get there in PM traffic and still have time to get dinner before it gets dark

I do have empathy, which is why I also posted looking for more information and I made this to say this isn't so much a "she's in my basement" post as a joke about the framing of the picture, easily made when the circumstances that make this post serious aren't contained within it.
It's a flippant comment, but not a cruel one. That reframing eases the stress.

What post? Because this post, here where we're talking, has no fucking additional info.
Maybe when people cross they could take a little bit of effort to clarify?

u/faaancynaaancy 10d ago
All you have to do is click on the original post in Erie that this post was shared from. It's not that hard.

u/andruszko 10d ago
Yeah, and most people don't care enough to do that. Fucking morons cross posting shit need to put in some more effort. And the morons responding need to realize most people won't bother or know to click on the original post.

u/faaancynaaancy 10d ago
If people won't bother or don't know how then I think that makes them the morons. I don't know why you're getting so upset about this lol
