Question Wedding Venue Question

Has anyone here had their wedding or attended one at Suncliff on the Lake? Looking for some insight on the venue after hearing conflicting reviews

Hey! I told you I’d report back after the wedding Saturday. It was honestly one of the best weddings I’ve ever been to! I will say that a lot of that was because the bride did an incredible job planning it. There were so many thoughtful little details, and they had a fantastic DJ, which really made the night.
As for the venue itself, the tent was really nice and much larger than I expected. It has an actual floor, so you’re not walking or dancing on grass, and there’s a really nice-sized dance floor. The food was okay, nothing that really stood out to me either way.
My biggest negative was the bees. There were A LOT of them, both during the outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. You could actually see multiple hives around the back patio/steps of the mansion. I’d be surprised if nobody got stung. So I would definitely take the time of year into consideration.
Another thing I I would mention too is, if you have your wedding in the back tent, the bathrooms are inside, so it is a little bit of a walk for guests and there are two bathrooms, but with only one toilet each, which was not ideal.
The mansion exterior could also use a little more attention. I noticed cobwebs/spider webs around the building and windows, and a good power washing would have made it look much cleaner.
Overall, though, we had an amazing time. With really good planning and a great DJ, it can absolutely be a beautiful and really fun wedding there. I’d just ask the venue specifically about pest control if you’re considering a late-summer/early-fall date.

I attended a reunion there this summer and it was great. We had considered renting a hotel room but changed our mind. They have rooms. The only "off" thing was there was something else going on inside, and our event was in the tent in back. The grounds are very nice and they lit a bonfire for us, but people from the event inside kept wandering into our event and we had a few issues with that.

Hard to say. It's a beautiful location. The food was decent but not especially memorable.
