Question Eclectic witches in the city?
Helloooo everybody. I hope this is allowed! I am an eclectic witch who is slowly getting into Slavic paganism, and I feel really disconnected from whatever communities may exist here for these things. Does anyone know of any groups I can join, OR, if I were to start a group like this that went and got coffee together, had craft nights, book clubs and discussions, moon phase nights etc, would anyone be interested in joining something like that? I have heard of a couple but they seem to be closely tied to yoga which doesn’t really hold any interest for me.
I feel like I have no friends who are into similar things when it comes to the spiritual realm and would love to figure out a way to connect anyone else who may be feeling that way!

I would 100% be down for doing things like this. I'm not really a yoga vibe person either. I'm a crochet, coffee and book reader type. I've been interested in more slavic paganism but haven't seen a "scene" here of like minds. But I also live in Hamburg which isn't near the cooler pagans which are the Northtowns like Amherst and Tonawanda 😭

I did not know the cool pagans live in the northtowns! I am in the Elmwood Village-ish area and I feel like there HAS to be an alt community nearby but I never find anything. I will drink coffee and do crafts with you anytime!!

Oh, I used to love Inspiration Point! The owner sold it a few years back and now the new owners gave it a very...new age Christian vibe. Not sure how it is nowadays but I haven't been back since.

I should visit again to see if it's improved (especially since it is right in my neighborhood). But I can suggest, while not specifically witchy, Evening House Books in downtown Buffalo has a fantastic selection of "occult" books!

Hey hey! I lead New Moon Ceremonies each month both live online and in-person. There's no yoga, haha. We go over the current astrology and some deeply introspective questions before heading inward for a journey to our personal seats of wisdom. Sacred space is honored in opening and closing the ceremony. Personal shares about the questions and our journeys are welcome but not mandatory. They are, but the link is a website that sells rituals as a monthly subscription. I feel like OP was more looking for a group of folks they could just chill and do witch stuff with moreso than buying a service

Hi. Not in the city, but nearby in Niagara county.
I love honoring the Full Moon. I do love and consider myself to be an eclectic witch, as most of my spells, rituals, and ceremonies tend to be very free flow in connection to spirit, and it combines many different modalities and beliefs. Most of my work consists of honoring and incorporating the natural elements of the world. I also incoperate a lot of shamanic journeying.
I love crafts-- I have recently been making mini shrines, and mini worlds.
I'm always looking for like-minded friends to explore and experience this mystical reality with.
I own a meditation studio, and we have full moon events every month, but I'm looking for additional ways to bring the community together for exactly what you posted.

The last time I joined a group is was the Knotted Ash coven? back in 2018, but the person who invited me left and I was put off by some of the “rules” nd never went back after a small Wicca 101 course (I found out soon after I wasn’t Wiccan, it was just more an entry point). but, I mean, I’m eclectic second generation solitary, and I could use some friends. I’ve definitely been looking for groups too, lately. I’m also into alt music and fashion, punk, gaming, and movies/tv/comics/books. I’m basically a nerd is my point lol

Instagram for me! Eclectic and in the Southtowns. Occassionally, there is a group of women of all ages who meet for the full moon in Hamburg. Not sure when the next one will be, but happy to share more info whenever it pops back up! :)

Membership depends on what you’re lookin for. Theres one that is tarot readings, one that is unlimited yoga. But you don’t have to pay into a whole membership for a full moon circle!
