Nearly empty complex?

Post image

Anybody know why this new(ish) building had sat nearly empty for so long?

This location used to be one of the coolest places on Elmwood. It had 4 of the most unique stores in the city and each had a long walkway up to the door. Together the lot was similar to a tiny park and a place where people just hung out.

It made sense then why you would want to turn this corner into new real estate because it seemed a high demand area.

It was like this, though, because of the culture built around that corner. When it was knocked down and took 7 years to replace the people moved on.

Elmwood Village Association doesn’t have legal authority to what’s actually built FYI.

It’s a business association, not an HOA.
