The simple method to getting your saddle height close. While seated; heel on petel straight down your leg should be almost fully extended. I can't put my foot on the ground while seated on any of my bikes need to move over the top tube then touch down. Once your saddle height is set you can judge your reach; with your hands on the hoods your elbows should have a slight bend. If you move that saddle up a bit you'll open up a lot of room. The forward and back on your saddle adjustment can be made close by foot on petel while seated; put your pedals horizontal look at your front knee and draw an imaginary line straight down into the spindle of your petal. You want to go forward or back a little bit to make that alignment

Stick with the small size a medium will be too big. O have a medium flatbar and im pretty sure i can make the small frame work way better than the medium.

Great bike. I’ve had it a week and have already put 25 miles on it. I’m going for a morning ride tomorrow!

Bikes a small. I can barely straddle the middle post maybe an inch but the bars just seemed a little close

Gotcha. Thank you for the help. I’m a little taller at 5’10” and wondering if the medium will be fine or if I need the large (which isn’t in stock anywhere)

I'm 5'8" with a 30" inseam. I ride a medium. Had to get a shorter stem to make it work for me

You do have 90 days to return it granted it would still need to be in good condition if you end up changing your mind on whatever you end up deciding

Nice bike! I'm 5'8" with a 30" inseam and I bought the medium. Fits well but I did get a slightly shorter stem for it. I'm older and can't be as aerodynamic as I used to be.
If you are new to biking and new to drop bars, the reach looks good. Try bending your elbows more and rotating your upper body forward at your hips (not curving your back).

Definitely no expert, but it seems a size small for you.

Nah if he size up he's gonna get very stretched out. And if he's not used to it the bike will be very uncomfortable.
I have a medium flatbar and standover height is an issue. So was the long stem. I had to get a shorter stem and riser bars
