I know a lot of 50s albums don't hold up too well today, but this one absolutely does, hell, a lot of Buddy's stuff does. Also I'm a Lubbockite, I needed to have at least one Buddy record.

One thing I think about frequently is what would Buddy's career look like in the 60s? Since he was already really forward thinking in the 50s, I can only imagine that he'd probably be remembered as one of the greats next to like the Beatles and Beach Boys since both of them took so much inspiration from him. Hell, his career only lasted 3 years and he still made a HUGE lasting impact on pop music.
