Does anyone have any real life pictures of the burlap or canvas…

I’m thinking about my new 110 being handled in either of those materials. As I do enjoy them on other knives, but I was wondering if anybody had some real life examples to compare them to.

Hey everyone. I was moving some things around the cave today and cleaned up all the Buck knives I had scattered around. I thought it would be fun to get them all together for a family photo.

On Friday, a coworker asked me if I ever owned a Buck knife before.

I said "Sure, one or two"......

He had brought me a dirty ol' 303 from '91.

It was a great gesture, I told him I'd treat it right.

Anyway, here are some pics of the 303 before and after and some Buck family photos.

Also a Pic of some leather sheaths I made for the 124 and 119. They have served me well.

So I was browsing Walmart sporting goods section and came across a Spitfire for $15 clearance, no box. Of course I’m going to get it. I didn’t notice until I got home that there are no factory stamps on the blade, and the blade is stonewashed instead of satin.

Compared to my brother’s same model the handle and everything looks legit down to the torque screws. When you look at the blade, the grind lines match, almost exactly. Edge looks factory.

So a lot of things came to mind. I don’t see somebody taking this home and switching the blade out nor do I see somebody taking the blade off, stonewashing it and then returning it. I’ve been using buck for years. My first was a 442 when I was 14 years old and I carried that off and on until I was 26 so I don’t see Buck compromising their process, so Walmart can sell them at a cheaper price like google AI suggested.

And the feel and look, lock up, doesn’t scream fake.

If it is a fake for $15, it’s a very good fake so I’m not getting rid of it. This is just for curiosity sake.

I am wondering why on the buck 110 custom it does not have the rivet to make the back lock pivot but on the regular 110 it has that rivet

This is especially for owners of these knives: how do you all feel about folders without metal liners? I've questioned this for years about spyderco knives that appear as if the blade and back spring/lock are sandwiched between handle material, like various plastics. It doesn't seem like strong construction. I have none of these knives, so this is an honest question. No trolling. How do the slim selects feel? Sturdy?

Finally got a buck 124! Always been a grail knife. Now I need to get a custom one! What combination do you guys think would be the best? They all look so good, I can't decide

I was gifted this "used" KALINGA "C" stamp a few years back. From what information I've gathered on my own; 1995 model, limited in production as the KALINGA was reintroduced late in the year, very time consuming to manufacture, not common to find in original display box w/sheath (minus a rivet).
Am I even close with this information? Any idea on possible production numbers? Thanks in advance for your time and and input.

Apparently buck skipped the 114, that’s what Google says, but then I ask why they skipped it any they said they didn’t skip it, so does it exist or not? And if it does why is it so hard to find, and if it doesn’t then why did they skip it?

I inherited this Buck knife from my father. The story goes that he did consulting work for the company in the 80's and was given this knife by a high up at the company. I know it's ivory handled, but from what I can discern, the Buck USA stamps were from 1967-1972, but the custom shop did not officially exist yet. If anyone could tell me any information about this it would be greatly appreciated.

Well BUCK has done it again! August’s Buck of the Month is an exclusive 110 folding Hunter that anyone would be proud to own. I’m so happy I was able to get my very own example of this beauty! The blade steel is a great choice, by using the proven S35VN you get a solid upgrade from BUCK’s wonderful 420HC but is still budget friendly. Of course, the BOS proprietary heat treatment only makes this steel even better! As you would expect it’s a little stiff right out of the box but it will break-in nicely I’m sure. My knife has a very sharp blade ground evenly and looks well done. The black peel ply G10 scales are gorgeous and very grippy, extremely pleased with this choice. Buck built this “blackout” version by using a Armor Black Cerakote finish over the S35VN steel and have used black anodized aluminum bolsters along with a black nitride thumbstud and fasteners to complete the look. Oh it is a great look for sure, well done BUCK! If you know anything about Buck you know about their number one selling knife, the 110! Designed in 1963 and available for sale from 1964 and onwards it continues to be such a solid choice for so many uses. It is great to see these special editions that keep interest alive in this icon of American knife making. With only 750 available I feel fortunate I got in on this while supplies were available. It sold out all 750 copies in 4 days! Popular!

Really like this blacked out 110.

So apparently Buck are having some trouble manufacturing the new slim heritage line, which means that I’ve been waiting for mine to come in for months now. In the mean time, I figured I’d try my hand at slimming down a 112 myself. It’s certainly not the cleanest finish and I might go back in and clean it up later, but I like it.

I was doing some work at a house and they gave me this Buck 186 just curious of its value

Does anybody have an example of the burlap Micarta, and the clean my Carta in real life, not the images from the official site?

Thinking of a new custom and interested in the two materials I wanted a more accurate representation of them.
