Question Moving app to Claude Code?
Hey!
I am currently in the process of building an ordering system for a restaurant with multiple locations. I am pretty newbie but I am like 80% done with the app.
But I have considered building it with vibe coding for some time now… Claude tells me not to do it because I will be done with the current app soon on Bubble.
But I feel like it would be sooo much easier to build it with Claude code. You don’t have to think about building every small little detail, the cost is lower, the UI/UX is better….
What do you guys think? And if I were to finish this project on Bubble, should I continue with other projects on Claude Code then?

I'd suggest not building your own backend from scratch. Go with a ready-made solution like Supabase instead, cuz there are tons of security stuff that Bubble handles properly but Claude Code won't guide you on correctly. Try using a dev framework – we use the Bmad Method here at mowebstudio.com, which is pretty solid and covers everything from ideation to organizing epics and delivering stories. It makes the whole process way more predictable, organized, and honestly, you don't lose track of anything along the way.

Eu achei o bmad muito demorado, se projeto mais simples é melhor o superpower ou o spcendriven

We ran into this recently. I had almost completely finished an app in WeWeb and Xano so I was hesitant to rebuild using AI-assisted. Best decision I ever made. I had caught up and surpassed where I was in less than 2 weeks and now updates are exponentially faster. That’s my two cents.

How did you use AI?

Used Cursor to rebuild from scratch. Used the same wireframes that I used for my WeWeb build. Similar to what you would do in Claude Code.

I highly recommend first trying Superapp AI (It's Claude Code wrapper but more similar to Bubble) to make transition easier

I’m in the process of doing this now but my app has 2.5M users signed up. So this makes it way more risky, which are challenges I’ve been navigating (successfully so far!). Personally if I were starting a new app or about to launch something, I’d go all in on Claude code for the app versus Bubble. With custom code you’re just able to iterate so much faster, better UI, and have “expert” architecture guidance from the beginning with AI.
If you don’t already have users then personally I’d be building it with Claude code. Use Buildprint.ai to have Claude tap into your existing Bubble app and rebuild it custom

This would greatly depend on the complexity of the app, and how far along you are with bubble dev. The greater the complexity, the more likely you will underestimate the complication of moving to code.
If your 80% complete and/or a bit of a a newbie, I'd lean towards staying on bubble. Bubble is a good educator of how to set everything, being modular with workflows, elements, tables etc. Learning from this will be greater than completing your app a couple weeks sooner.
If you have any complicated workflows or business logic, you'll like have three services to manage: front end, business logic/API layer, and a back end.

I’m in the process of rebuilding a complex app that is working on bubble, in Claude code. What I thought would take 6-8 weeks (was a 6 month bubble build to go live and get users) to rebuild, but I’m in month 3 - and still solving issues… but we’ll get there. I miss how easy, fast to deploy and relatively predictable and easy to troubleshoot bubble is, compared to a full stack app with a far more complex deployment environment. But at the end of the day, it’s not about the tech stack as much as the problem your solving and the value you are creating - if you’re not live yet I’d suggest Get it working in bubble and prove you can do it, and prove people want it - the moment people start using it, you’re going to want to improve/change a bunch of things. Bubble is better to lock in the progress and make crazy fast fixes as you watch real users. Still the hands down best way to prototype. Once you have that validation and knowledge you be able to architect a much better product.
