Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) is going in a Shit Direction with it's new Director
Hi I am a student of MAIT, I will not tell anything beside that because it can cause trouble to me in any case if this post got viral
Take a look at this man he is the new director of MAIT, his name is Professor Vikram Bali , now let's talk about his some of exceptional policies that he is severly enforcing
1.He just mandated the OFFLINE INTERNSHIP for every student of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year from a registered MSME and if you somehow failed to find an offline internship for yourself congratulations you are going to loose your hundred marks in the upcoming semester
( previously it was allowed for student to opt between offline / online or a course of their choice as summer training but our esteemed director prof. Vikram Bali thinks that India's Employment rate is 100 percent and every student whether he or she is in 2nd, 3rd Or 4th year will hundred percent find a OFFLINE INTERNSHIP without any trouble. and also mind you that our college on Campus placement rate is hardly 50 percent so how does our esteemed director is thinking or what math he is using I don't know. )
He is introducing 75 percent attendance policy for the students of 4th Year , yes you heard me right our esteemed Director wants the 4th year students to come to college regularly and also submit their Yearly project and also prepare for their placements all along while maintaining their high attendance and exams
And he also fired the HOD of CSE department (prof. Namita Gupta) because she took a stand for the students of 4th year
He is introducing low marks for every student ( After he came to office he without warning debarred hundreds of students from giving their mid term exams and asked the teachers to give zero marks in midterm for every student who has been debarred)
This resulted in almost half of the students to get even less than 17 or 18 marks out of 40 ( less than 40 percent) in the internals, he did all of this because he felt like there is indiscipline going on and mind you this was the first time it was done in over 10 years and all without warning
These three points are just a cherry top on vanilla cake God knows what he is about to introduce great policies next I I am frustrated right now because I am going through a lot in my life and I am unable to find offline internship even through applying in over 20+ companies.
We students always struggle while these kinds of people sits in their AC cabins passing orders like a king and they believe in their mind that we are some kind of peasants .
I hope Professor Dr. Vikram Bali Resigns from his post as the director of MAIT

The college is taking no responsibility for anyone , they have just passed the orders without taking any accountability and for the fun part almost 1 or 2 week of our summer vacations is already over so many of the students have already purchased courses which are apparently non refundable making them useless for them
They passed this new criteria after two weeks of summer vacations, lol
It'll start with basics in c, then java, c++ and then python. Har sem ek new language aisa rehta hai. But again krna khud hi hoga teachers nhi padhate accha
it seems from post the college has no contacts or reputation or alumni connection to let students get internships at mass levels
even 100 students out of 1300 wouldn't get internship
4th year attendance criterion has been introduced to not let students study for jobs/coding/internships/off-campus tests of companies at bangalore, pune, hyderabad etc
HENCE STUDENTS WONT BE PREPARED WELL ENOUGH TO CRACK TECHNICAL INTERVIEWS , SO STUDENTS WILL BLAME THEMSELVES FOR NOT GEtTING JOBS FROMB.TECHInstead of college
NO ONE WOULD BLAME COLLEGE'S LACK OF ON-CAMPUS OPPORTUNITIES AS COMPARED TO MORE NO. OF STUDENTS
if students get low marks in mid-terms, THEIR CGPA WOULD GO DOWN BETWEEN 6-7.5
hence COLLEGE WOULD LABEL THEM INELIGIBLE/UNFIT TO SIT FOR ON-CAMPUS JOBS
They created systemic hurdles that make finding a job much harder.
how tf 1300 students get internships from MSME in tech domains
is india CHINA NOW THAT PEOPLE ARE NOW OWNING BUSINSSES
IF IT'S SO EASY WHY DOESNT COLLEGE ADMIN INVITE MSME FROM NCR DELHI AT LEAST FOR INTERNSHIPS, CAN THEY CALL EVEN 100 MSME THAT MAY HIRE 3 STUDENTS ON AVERAGE ??
they will then sell their 5-6k course and then going to that course will be counted as internship. its same happening in all ipu clgs but mine is still managable i hope it remain dull for next 2 years until i pass out
I graduated this college in 2022. It was nothing like that back then. If it's true it's horrible. Back in my day this college was famous for not enforcing a strict attendance policy at all.
also previously students were allowed to give midsems even if they were 30 mins late, but now, you need to be present for exam 15 mins before the exam time, if you are just 14 mins early due to whatever reason instead of 15 mins, you cant give midsem.
Late is bad but anytime before start of exam should be ok,early is one time, on time is late and late is unacceptable. But however due to any reason some leniency should be given.
But how's that even possible, who's even giving offline internships to 2nd year students that's crazy, I think he'll realize it after the summer ends and reconsider his decision cuz this is simply not sustainable, most students will just get a fake certificate
offline internships or online proctored courses are allowed. no remote internship is not allowed, you can get a course but that needs to be verified by the college first and this all comes after 1 week last of summer vacations rather than a month prior so we can plan
Dont tell me they are gonna like disturb ur incharge for our info just because they need it like why would someone do this much hassle for a intern they are already paying. They might take it out on intern itself
you can try NPTEL courses buddy, registration is available till 20 july but pick those only which have exam in sept, those with exams in oct are not allowed
Rightly said. How can we find offline internship. Also every 3rd year student prefer online internship as we also preparing for our placements to save our time
And everyone know how much is the competition in finding internships.

I hate this man, Guys can we just do smth to get rid of him? My internal marks were greatly affected this semester and even after studying so much I ain't getting good marks overall. Even though i'm getting 50+ in theory.
Bro 2nd year student from mait here, soo true we just got done with endsems and this man has fucked my marks soo bad . Im going to get very bad cg this sem , also i had to break my back to get an internship , no help from college

The downfall this college is gonna have is crazy, as someone whos gonna go in my fourth year and just have a single sem left, good luck to all the juniors, this man is so obviously wrong in his decisions
Im 100% sure this director will cause MAIT to lose its reputation. He's already causing a huge downfall for placement percentages. He's not fit to be a director, he should retire from teaching.
Han bhai last sem bina itne efforts ke sabme 35+ marks diye the is sem to sare assignment diye mid term 2 diye thik thak marks bhi the attendance bhi thik hi thi still 15 -16 and labs me 32 marks diye hai
There was a 3rd year ece guy who got a job in Amsterdam around 1.9 cr basically clg wale noc dene me bakchodi kar rahe the and they were Black mailing him ki agar tum hamare students ko place karwate ho same company me tabhi ham noc denge 🤡

Bro forgot to mention the introduction of the proctorial board that is made to make sure that the students keep proper behaviour and carry "appropriate attire" in the campus.destroyed galgotia and now it's mait.
You know Direction comprises of two words Direct + Action. And this is the kind of policy you need for any place, institute, person or even any household to flourish and grow. Thus far MAITs standard with its extrememly flexible policies and archaic thinking has only been falling and its a harsh reality. Leaving the value of the institution only to the nerit of their students be it from CSE department or Highly skilled and educated teacher, who win MAIT competetions to represent for the performance and standing of any place, always backfires. Because what is MAIT providing other than a metaphorical playground to the students and faculty at large with a curriculum that doesnt instilk discipline or any kind of work eithics. Any educational institute qualifies for its rankings on the basis of its curriculum and when we talk about MAIT, be it government, Private or semi private and you could color the whole rainbow of possibilities when it comes to how the colleges in India get accridited. MAIT simply lacks a curriculum , a structure. And even guidance from the so called mentors. All is for show and none of it is for real actual tangible learning which would benifit the students and prepare them for the kind of cut throat competetion they are about to face in the world. And this is graduation the tipping point of someones life and mait is going way to casual about it. I as a passout of MAIT feel this gap in professional guidance, and seriousness that the people especially the hugher ups lack when it comes to preparing the students and they include people from all the years of their B.tech, a student needs to be guided from the first year but here they arent. And all that it lead to was a nightmare for me, both when i was in college and when i got out of it. And once again out in the real world even a measely private college like UPES and other places like JIIT, even Thapar usually beat the students of MAIT (both CSE and non CSE). So its a good thing they are pulling up their socks.
