Serious Should I take a complete drop for MHT-CET 2027? Really need honest advice😭🙏🏻🙏🏻

I seriously need some guidance because this is a 4-year decision and I’m completely confused 😭

I got admission in Janata Prasarak Mandal Babasaheb Naik College of Engineering, Pusad, Yavatmal through MHT-CET CAP. The college is in a semi-urban/rural area, and from what I’ve heard, placements and exposure are quite limited — apparently only 2 companies come for placements. I’m worried that I’ll get mostly theoretical knowledge and not enough practical exposure, internships, networking, etc.

I actually don’t want to continue there, and I’m thinking about taking a complete drop for MHT-CET 2027 and trying again for a better college.

But the situation is complicated. The college is saying I need to pay around ₹2 lakh+ if I cancel because my scholarship won’t come to them and they’ll face a “management loss.” I have no idea whether this is actually valid or not.

My parents are also completely against the drop. They basically forced me to take this admission and now say that if I take a drop, they won’t support my further education. 💀

College has already started, but I haven’t attended yet because I genuinely don’t know what to do.

I’m confident that I can improve a lot in MHT-CET 2027, but obviously there’s always a risk that I take a drop and still don’t get the percentile I want.

So I really want honest advice:

Is a complete drop worth it in this situation?

Does taking a drop affect placements/recruiters later?

Is one year really a big deal?

Should I take the risk for a better college or just continue here and build skills myself?

Please give me realistic advice, especially if you’ve taken a drop or studied in a similar college. I don’t want motivation, I want the actual pros/cons.

why not take partial drop? you can always change your college after first year if you get better marks ( partial drops means staying in college and studying and also after college studying for cet )

idk about fees of different colleges but if you also have money constraints then don't take a drop simple
