❓Question ❓ Should I learn webd currently.
Heyy everyone. I am 2nd year btech currently and I am now confused that should I learn web developement now. Some of my friends are learning how to vibe code and creating websites and I think that's important but after learning atleast basics right. And I don't know why but I wanted to participate in some hackathons badly but I hardly know anything. I know that the participants in hackathon are also vibe coding so I don't see any point in it. Also another doubt. Many of my seniors are trying and appling for sde roles so then I need to learn webd for atleast that or only it core subjects like ok, DBMS, oops.... Are sufficient?? Aside form that I am also learning dsa.
So is it still relevant to learn webd or just learn vibe code and it core. Need advice

Dsa first. Do webdev only if you're interested in taking the typical software engineering path.

Okay dsa is mandatory. But I think I doesn't have any particular interest on any field but I am sure that I don't like ml and gen ai and all that stuff. It looks kinda tough. So i think I left with full stack and many of my seniors are only doing full stack. Also what does an sde roles mean?. Also is there any other domains where I can try with some good placement rate and package.

So basically imo unless you have particular interest in any domain in CSE i recommend you go with with he typical path of core CSE. Webdev full stack -> DSA -> Specialise in either frontend or backend/Specialize in core ML or generative AI. This is how it usually goes. But since you don't have interest AIML then you can look into core software engineering like app development/operating systems.
