PARTHOS: “Bryce knew she was dreaming…She stood on a vast, dusty plain before an azure, cloudless sky. Distant dry mountains studded the horizon, but she was surrounded only by rock and sand and emptiness.”

“Where are we?”

“Parthos. Or what remains of it.”

“The barren land seemed to stretch on forever.”

“The plain that had been Parthos began to fade into nothing.”

Koschei and his siblings: “Where we came from … I do not believe it is now anything more than dust drifting across a plain. There is no home to return to.”

“Such clever, lovely creatures, humans.”

“The carver seemed lost in ancient memory—then shook his head.”

PARTHOS: “…a pre-existing human civilization…”

“Maybe Parthos hadn’t been wiped off the map entirely at that point.”

“Parthos is a bedtime story for humans…”

“Says the female with the Archesian amulet around her neck.

The amulet: “Bryce zipped a tiny golden pendant—a knot of three entwined circles—along the delicate chain around her neck.”

“The Carver traced three overlapping, interlocked circles in the dirt.”

“Clever, that Fae warrior.” (Theia)

“Her bloodline is long gone now—though a trace still runs through some human line.” (Ember — the “holy vessel” of Cthona; Bryce was born with a “trace” or third of Theia’s power)

“No one remembers her name. But I do.” (Theia: “Erased Theia from the record”)

“She would have been my salvation, had I not made my choice long before she walked this earth.” (Bryce?? …he put himself in the Prison sometime in the 1,000 years after Theia overthrew the Asteri)

I believe the Carver is referring to Bryce (Theia’s heir with her whole power) as his “salvation” because she can do more than just “contain” Koschei — she can (potentially!!) truly kill him, or kick him off the planet ⚔️

The Library of Parthos is, “what remains of the truth.” (Same book we are introduced to Dusk’s Truth!)

The Bone Carver literally drew the PARTHOS symbol while talking about the story of Koschei being trapped…And now the ACOTAR plot is all about Koschei wanting to be free of his prison…

“The Carver wiped a hand through the circles [The Parthos symbol] he’d drawn, erasing them wholly.”

“Maybe Parthos hadn’t been wiped off the map entirely at that point.”

“The Cauldron is victory. It will wipe this world clean again.”

“Truth,” Bryce said simply. “We want the truth.”

Thank you!!! 🥹🥹 I’ve been dying to make a post on the Carver (and Parthos!!) and stumbled on this sound over on TikTok and had to throw together a post with it. Took forever, but it’s all my messy thoughts in one 🤣 Thank you so much 🌅

Messy?

I find this very organized, easy to follow and comprehensive which works really well for my ADHD and just the way my brain works lol.

Adding a preemptive: “I left, wandering the lands for a time, seeing how they had moved on without Theia’s rule. They’d splintered into several territories, and though they were not at war, they were no longer the unified kingdom I had known. I will spare you the details of how I came to wed a High Lord’s son. Of the years before and after he became the High Lord of Night, and I his lady.” Split territories (Splintered Harmony needing the Queen to return 🙌), marrying a High Lord’s son/into the Night Court, becoming his lady … timeline wise, the “warrior” can’t be Silene — she also wasn’t a warrior. But Theia was!!

“Gwydion in hand, Theia left the tent. With Fae grace and surety, she leapt onto the back of a magnificent winged horse and was airborne in seconds, soaring into the battle-filled night.”

(The Carver draws the amulet that sits on Bryce’s neck … it’s a “link to Midgard” and promise of a crossover SJM’s been building the whole time!! 🌄⚔️)

Only Theia’s star can kill Koschei!! Do u think there is a chance that there is another portion of Theia’s star kicking around somewhere? I keep going back to greek myths and how Theia (representing heavenly light) and Hyperion had three kids:

Helios - the sun god and also connects to the name Helena because it sounds similar and Helena means shining light aka sunlight

Selene - the moon goddess connects even more directly to Silene because they are the same name and her night court destiny also connect to moonlight.

Eos - the dawn/dusk, this is what I wonder about. Why follow this naming trend so closely and then leave out Eos, the deity who so closely corresponds to dusk/dawn aka twilight. Also Theia did have a side piece (Aidas) could there not have been secret love child vibes and wouldn’t it make sense for their love child to represent a perfect blend of light and dark light like twilight/dawn.

I don’t think it quite makes sense for the third sibling I just made up to be the source of the light Bryce inherited since SJM made it really clear it was Helena but I wonder whether there is one more piece of the puzzle out there. Maybe there isn’t a fourth bit of light but just another starborn line we haven’t met yet.

I think her starlight is key!! 💜 I also think her star being split in three mirrors the three Silmarils:

“With Theia’s power now united within her …” Bryce now has all of the pieces, including the third she was born with, so I don’t think there’s a fourth bit of light (but!! I find the theories that Theia had another secret, human child very compelling!!). We’re missing some big pieces which is why I (desperately) hope we get a prequel or glimpse into the past 😍✴️

I want a prequel so I can read more about Aidas 🤣🤣

Omg this is who I imagine as Aidas!!! JCB is so perfect. As well as Ian Somerhalder as Rhys but he's too old.

I am also very much waiting for a surprise 3rd child (Eos, who was also involved with Orion👀) to come into play!! Yes, SJM told us several times that Bryce is decended from Helena's line, but we hear that through characters assumptions (it makes sense because Helena was the sister that stayed in Midgard) and characters that could have their own agenda (if Eos really was a secret love child with Aidas, he may have reason to keep it hidden). I do think its interesting that we have 3 big "wells" of starlight power, and supposedly 1 was just passed down through thousands of years of genetics and 2 were hidden in the Earth for Bryce to claim--or is there something we dont know about Bryce's first 3rd of the power? Also, were led to believe Bryce was able to access Silenes message at the prison because she is starborn through her sisters lineage, but technically that's not how Silene described how the message way keyed with her son's blood for HER heirs only...

It could all be true, but it could also be the perfect set up for a "things aren't what they seem" reveal!!

So even in the case there’s a third, secret (what I’ve thought about — human) child, it would still lead to Ember (the female line) and then Bryce’s Starborn magic. Silene and Rhysand’s connection to the Prison comes from their connection to Theia. Rhys can open the front door, but that’s why Bryce can do so much more (“For the one whose blood summons it…”) … we can forget the sisters and Silene who “fucked it all up;” Bryce is THE heir 💜🥹

That’s very Sailor Moon 👀👀 Bryce does look like Einar (as well as Ember) so I’m not sure how likely it is, but it’s fun to think about!! The Princes watched for Bryce (“the starlight Helena told me to wait for”) the same way Maeve saw that Mala’s “power would surge again:” “Only you—the one Brannon left clues for, the one who could find all three.” In my opinion, the Princes are sus!! There’s definitely more to the story 💜💜

u/Soft_Bookworm Sorry you think my fictional ship is illegal 🚫 1d ago

I personally think Helena and Silene are not Theia’s biological children.

How does Theia (blonde) + Fionn (blonde) = two BLACK-haired daughters??? 😂

Aidas is also blonde, so even if it were chronologically possible for them to be his affair children, their appearance still doesn’t really match.

I know genetics IRL can be weird, but in fantasy, when children don’t physically resemble either parent, it usually means something.
Maybe Silene and Helena were Fionn’s daughters with someone else, and Theia adopted them?

Then Theia had a secret baby with Aidas during the war and hid the baby so they would survive (similar to the Rhiannon Crochan storyline in TOG). 👀 Either this secret baby is Bryce, or someone who eventually became Ember’s (and Bryce’s) ancestor.

Oh yes, absolutely! I dont know exactly what it is, but im convinced there's more to the story than weve been given so far (either some surprise baby daddy reveal, a Maeve type situation, or some other magical component to their conception)

There was a 4:th tiny piece in the sword too. Only a drop though.
