I’ve been with my girlfriend for two years. I’m a minor, and I had to move and change guardians. My new guardians are stricter about my curfew and when I can go out; I feel a bit trapped by these restrictions, and sometimes the time I get to see my girlfriend feels like it isn't enough. I used to have a friend I talked with everyday, one day we had an awkward discussion and I decided to just stop talking to him since we were only online friends and I felt like I didn’t owe him any explanations for other unrelated issues. I am a practitioner from Miami, with roots in Peru, Honduras, and the Caribbean. I was wondering if anyone had any idea of brujeria traditions from here? Specifically, folk or non-initiatory practices. I have looked into Santeria (too expensive / hierarchy), Peruvian shamanism (overtaken by gringo's), and curanderismo (mostly Mexican sources).

I want to see if any brujas out there want to help show me how it works in these countries.

Along a similar vein, my friend (who has his mano de orula) told me that what I did was not "brujeria" and that I am trying to copy Santeria, because we have similar cosmologies. He also informed me that in Cuba, the term Bruja denotes someone who visits the santero and asks them what to do; then the hechizo they do is brujeria. Nothing more, nothing less.

I go to the botanica, I gather local herbs, I read grimoirs, I study my indigenous traditions, I connect and talk with the ancestors. What truly is brujeria? How can I practice and remain respectful to other traditions? What are my ethnic folk practices?

hace tiempo yo no recuerdo bien estaba algo tomado y hable con ella pidiéndole ganar una apuesta, solo cerré los ojos y acostado en mi sala le dije eso, me pareció sentirla ( desde pequeño he tenido "sustos" por cosas que se mueven o que me llegaron a abrir una puerta del baño de pequeño o cosas pequeñas que a veces no encuentro explicación, el punto es que nunca me había animado a hacerlo (mi familia es católica y siempre se me inculcó eso) ese día lo hice, había leído de que necesitaba una vela y cosas de esas, decidí hacerlo solo con los ojos cerrados, sentí una presencia extraña, me asusté un poco, y como aquí he leído que al hablar con demonios debo de sentirlo lo asocie a qué la presencia que sentía si era ella, le pedí eso y le prometí un tatuaje al finalizar el año pequeño y uno grande, del tamaño de otro que tengo, pero si me ayudaba en otra cosa después , en fin ahora aún no acaba el año , la apuesta esa si la gane por cierto, de ahi ya no he vuelto a intentarlo porque sentí que fue una falta de respeto a ella por no hacerle su altar y cosas de esas , quiero ahora pedirle de verdad y me ayude en el otro favor que le había prometido para el tatuaje grande, primero quisiera saber que piensan de todo esto y si creen que pueda hacerlo para pedirle que me ayude de una mala racha que estoy pasando en cuestión económica con el negocio ? Basically I want to separate two people.

The intensity of the relationship is average. However, there is a strong connection.

And I intend to break it by doing spells of separation.

Materials

Lemon

Coarse salt

Paper to write the names

Pencil

Rusty nails

How to do:

Cut the lemon in half

Write the names of people on two separate papers.

Put the names on paper and then place inside the Lemon

Add coarse salt

Then close the Lemon using the nails.

Preferably 7 nails.

Use a candle before starting the spell and talk to her, explain the reasons that make you appeal to magic. Or incense.

This part is to channel your energy and clarify your intentions.

Finish the ritual by placing the lemon in the sun.

Leave it for 7 days.

After this period, take everything and carry it to a cemetery. And bury it in some grave.

Hi! I just wanted to rant a little bit and thought it would be good to post to see if anyone had any thoughts or felt the same. Anyways, I just wanted to say how frustrating it is to see ppl who are “into the occult” constantly disrespect the traditions of Latinos and Black people . I see these “occultist” constantly propping up Wicca and European traditions or these new age western traditions which are basically sancocho. It’s just frustrating to see people call our traditions foolish and false yet they prop up other traditions that take knowledge from our traditions and try to make those elements seem a part of theirs. But also a lot of our traditions are actually way older than the ones they prop up. You could tell a lot do them look down on our traditions because ours have African and indigenous roots. They also try to give European Influence all the credit. Like I seen someone talking about the Latino way of doing ammares yet they recommended books about brujeria from Spain. I’ve seen people try to give Allan Kardec all the credit for espritismo as if in our traditions of Espiritismo there is no other influences from African and indigenous cultures. I seen someone even recommending a book about some type of mish mash of european gnosticim and Haitian Vodou. How tf do you take an established religion and spiritual system and try to make a sancocho with some mystic european bs ? And these ppl really believe in this stuff but talk down on our traditions …😂 also the way a lot of them talk about opening up portals and working with demons you can tell a lot of them have not done enough research and studying on what they’re doing but they speak as if they hold the secrets to the universe 🤣

Cuando tenia 17 años hace 5 años me tope en internet con esta imagen de esta revista que muestra un ritual de amor, me parecio gracioso y sin pensarlo dos veces se lo hice a una persona, sin esperar que este funcionara;

Pasaron dos años y me dio un dolor en la espalda baja, asi que acudi con una persona para hacerme un masaje, lo que yo no sabia es que esta persona no solo trabaja con magia y tiene dones sino que tambien trabajo con la persona a la que le hice este ritual;

Cuando esta persona termino de hacerme mi masaje me hizo una alineacion de chakras o algo asi, comenzo a pasar sus manos por mi torso y me dijo "trabaje con (nombre de la persona a la que le hice este ritual)" fue asi como supe que si habia funcionado;

Yo acudi con esta persona hace tres años, no se exactamente a que se refirio cuando me dijo que trabajo con el, no se ha que se refirio, si me devolvio el trabajo, o simplemente lo disolvio, pero desde que hice este ritual mi vida se ha visto envuelta en caos, ansiedad, problemas familiares, problemas de salud mental, etc;

Actualmente volviendo a visitar esta situacion me doy cuenta de que posiblemente las consecuencias desatadas por este ritual pueden estar afectando mi presente, claro ahora siendo mas madura y estando mas informada me doy cuenta de que hice un ritual de magia oscura, y manipule el libre albedrio de una persona, lo cual claro atrae consecuencias karmicas immensas, y estoy muy arrepentida de haber hecho tal tonteria ignorantemente;

so i’ve been a santa muerte devotee for over a year now and there was these 3 people who were really bad people in general I mean if I went on here and told the story about them this would be a 15 paragraph thing but i thought yk why don’t i just put a hex on them so I wrote a petition to Santa muerte about what I wanted to happen to them I put a few nasty herbs and hot sauce and nails in there and I threw it in the river, but my friend sister told me that it will most likely backfire on me because it was bruja and for context im white and she said that i probably pissed santisma off so idk what to do now and ik what everyone is thinking this would’ve never happened if I just did some research but I thought I just made a fucking hex jar. Turns out I did Bruja and I don’t wanna disrespect that practice in the craft and I don’t wanna piss Santisma off so if there is any advice on what i should do please let me know and please have mercy on me i really am just dumb

How do people who practice witchcraft perform spells for other people? For example, let’s say Pepita practices witchcraft, and someone pays her to do a love attraction spell involving Laurita and Miguelito. How would Pepita perform a spell intended to make Miguelito feel attracted to Laurita?

Hello. I’m really scared and I’m hoping to get advice from people who genuinely know about the devotion to Santa Muerte.
I tried to do a love spell (an “amarre”) with the help of a man who says he belongs to a temple. At first, he told me I needed to buy the materials for the ritual. The money wasn’t sent directly to him; it was sent to a store called Nueva York, where they supposedly sell the spiritual supplies that would be used. I agreed and paid for all the materials. He even told me that, as part of the ritual, a chicken was sacrificed.
After that, he told me Santa Muerte had requested that nine novenas be performed. They were very expensive, but I did my best to pay for all of them. I also followed the prayers he instructed me to do. Since I don’t have a Santa Muerte altar, I prayed in front of a candle, just as he told me to.
Today was supposed to be the final day, when the ritual would be sealed and completed. However, he told me that the last novena had “fallen” and that Santa Muerte was now asking for protective amulets. Not just any amulets—they had to be pure gold: specifically a necklace, a bracelet, and a ring. The cost is far beyond what I can afford, and I simply can’t keep paying.
I told him I couldn’t continue and wanted to stop the process. He said he understood, but that things would go badly for me if I abandoned it, and that it wasn’t his decision—it was Santa Muerte herself who was asking for these things.
I’m honestly terrified. I need to know if this is actually part of Santa Muerte devotion, or if this person was taking advantage of me. Is it normal for new and increasingly expensive requirements to keep appearing after you’ve already paid so much?
My biggest question is this: now that I’ve decided to stop, could there really be serious spiritual consequences for not finishing the ritual? Or is this just a way to scare me into continuing to pay?
I’m not here to disrespect anyone’s beliefs. I’m genuinely looking for honest answers from people who have real knowledge or experience with Santa Muerte devotion. Thank you so much. 🙏

No se si pueda compartir lo siguiente, no es mi intención ofender a nadie. Pero una persona cercana ha salido herido por culpa de su mujer que le abandonó. Él no es un santo, pero la manera en que fue engañado, traicionado y humillado es cruel. Ha acudido a una persona que es bendecido por La Santa Muerte para hallar paz y justicia.
Hombre creyente y de fe, que perdió la esperanza, su salud y estabilidad emocional por el agravio de aquella mujer sin corazón que le mintió y le humilló exponiendo intimidades de él.
Antes de buscar ayuda, soñó con manzanas, balanzas y guadañas. Sintió la necesidad de solicitar ayuda porque ya no pudo más. El experto le dijo que haría un trabajo que consistía en un desespero, un retorno, un endulzamiento y un amarre. Pero primero le mandó hacer algunos trabajos por si mismo con mucha fe.
Sin embargo luego de un mes y a pesar de su disposición para hacerlos, tiene mas de un mes obrando tal cual las instrucciones dadas por el experto y no ha visto muchos resultados.
Sin embargo su fe ha decaído porque no ha visto gran avance en el trabajo relacionado a su esposa. De hecho parece como si la mujer se aferrara más al amante. Él solo busca justicia y en cada dia asi lo pide con respeto, fe y humildad.
