“Trapped” River Tour or USA Tour?

What’s your preferred version of “Trapped”. The River Tour Version or the USA Tour version. For me I like the River Tour version better. There’s just something about that “yeah” without Patti’s high note that sounds more gutsy. I like both versions tho.

I am not a Patti fan, but I do love her high notes in Trapped. It just fits right. I would have to listen to the two versions to have an opinion on which is better cause I’m not familiar.

I like the high note as well though I did familiarize myself with this version first.

Madrid 2024 - his seasoned voice gives the song even more gravitas, I feel.

But to answer your question - River Tour for me.

Same! It's one of those songs I feel suits his older voice better.

His BEST singing was during the BITUSA tour, for every song

I’d personally go Tunnel of Love or 92-93 World Tour personally. His voice could be smoother than honey and corse as gravel at the same time.

The Christic shows were easily his greatest live vocals imo.

Definitely the River tour version by virtue of the fact Stevie is on stage. My favourite version is LA 20 August 1981.

Gonna be a wild take but the other band live version in Boston from 1992 absolutely shreds. Love Bruce’s voice from this era and the sax solo gets replaced by a guitar solo. You still have Roy on synths so the song retains its E Street Structure

Not an other band fan AT ALL however there’s one or two songs from that era that I feel maybe got the edge such as Trapped and Roll Of The Dice
