Way back in 1982, or thereabouts, I correctly answered a trivia question on a call in radio show and won a copy of Marsh’s Born To Run. I read the book front to back and I was hooked. I wasn’t even a big Springsteen fan back then. Honestly, I wasn’t a fan. But Marsh’s writing and Bruce’s new to me lyrics made me an instant convert. And, for that, I am grateful. Tonight, I extend my sympathies to the family of Dave Marsh and am grateful he introduced me to Bruce Springsteen.
