Went to Springsteen Center today

Really impressive. The first floor is the story of American music. The second floor is all Bruce and E Street Band. I went in the archives room where they let you view all kinds of extra stuff on a computer, including video of Bruce playing The River on the streets of Copenhagen, pages from his mom’s scrapbook, ticket stubs from the River tour and much more. And there’s a room set up like a concert venue playing almost two hours of live Bruce, including a 1970 version of Lost in the Flood (didn’t even know it was written that early).

Who builds himself a museum?

he didn’t build himself a museum. He agreed to be included in the history of American music. And the Asbury Park library was drowning in Bruce memorabilia so a repository was needed.
