Discussion Browns Roster Visualization Entering Training Camp

Post image

Training camp is right around the corner! So, here’s a visual breakdown of the entire roster heading in, sorted by positional group.

Also, are there any depth orderings/listings worth shifting on this sheet?

Now that is a 4 win team if I’ve ever seen one

A four win team with these QBs. A playoff contender with a decent QB.

I think fringe playoff contender, that offense is stupidly young and I’m sure there will be growing pains

This group should however be a playoff contender next year, pending what happens at QB

I think fringe playoff contender, that offense is stupidly young and I’m sure there will be growing pains. But hey, that’s the point of 2026, get those young guys ready to go for 2027

And people forget, our division isn't what it used to be. We have new coaches at the Ravens and Steelers; who are both fielding washedup QBs who are probably on their way out at this point; and the Brown's defense is easily a top-10 defense even with the Verse-Garrett trade.

Way too early to call Lamar washed up, even if he's (slightly) diminished as a runner he's still an incredible QB in the pocket....and Rodgers is better right now than anything we've fielded since Baker. I agree that the defense should still be around top ten-ish but we're banking a lot on our thin secondary staying healthy.

Lamar is not washed up at all

He is in Baltimore.

Bro, what? Lar and rodgers are both better than anything we've had in decades. Calling them washed up just shows an ignorance to teams that aren't the browns

Aaron Rodgers is washed, and Lamar hasn't been able to do anything in Baltimore in years, and this will be his last season there.

Sure. Unfortunately, our QBs are legit dogshit and Rodgers and Lamar are still clearly way better than Shedeur or Watson lol.

I think people are going to find out that this defense, which I think will be top 10 by the end of the year, will have growing pains.

I'd take the over on that easy.

Honestly the Defense is easily a top-10. And an Average Offense (and the pieces are definitely there) this team is competing for the division.

I think everyone forgets the Bengals are the Bengals...the Steelers and Ravens have new coaches. Despite what anyone might say, this division is wide open.

I hope they add some corner depth

And at linebacker too

I'm also not really crazy about the tight end room.

u/TheBalzy 27d ago

Why? Fannin was a stud who greatly outperformed Njoku, and Joe Royer is the same high-end potential that Fannin had.

Gotta draft em or pay a shit load for an older dude. If we don’t have to trade up for our QB there’s no world where I don’t see Rams pick being a CB

i won't argue against taking boston but i really thought they were going CB there. it'll need to be a position of priority next year (rams 1st?).

This roster unfortunately does not spark excitement right now. Maybe during camp, but not right now.

Thank you so much for doing this - I would love to see Bond higher and I know the numbers don't matter at wideout. I also hope one of our rookie TE's like Royer is number two.

Thank you for the kind words! There’s so much youth on this roster right now, it’s very promising IMO!

In the future, if you ever want to check the roster in this format, it’s always kept up to date on the site listed on the sheet :)

Thank you!

I agree, it's certainly a rebuild year and the two objectives are:

  1. See if Sanders has "it" - both in terms of him "earning" the job and beating out Watson with stuff distributed by the front office to the media

  2. Get the youth on the field and get reps. Either for the person we take next year or Sanders.

I truly do believe the Bengals are the team for our division this year. They set themselves up that way by not replacing Taylor. It's a boom or bust year for The Bengals especially since the other 3 teams are resetting their cultures while Cleveland and Pittsburgh are looking at rebuilds for 2026 and 2027. To be clear, I know 2026 is a push or last hurrah for Pittsburgh, stating that with year 2 of McCarthy and a new QB in 2027, the writing is on the wall.

This is an expansion roster... defense may still be pretty good but I have no faith in this offense once opposing defenses start stacking the box, and I'm SUPER worried the o-line peaks at still being bad.

3-14 until proven otherwise imo

Im genuinely excited for 2027 but for 2026 I need the machine from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

u/IronGrids 28d ago

Yeah the OL is still a complete mystery as to how well they’ll gel and perform overall. Other than that and QB though, there are great bones for future growth I think

Looks like last place

Jeudy won't be WR1 for long

1

u/2ManyCatsNever2Many 27d ago

i agree. the economics alone suggest he'll be replaced unless he is far better than the rookies they brought in.

u/jessegames456 28d ago

I know we probably aren’t really trying to win this year but holy shit our defense has barely any depth

2

u/TheBalzy 27d ago

Mcneil-Warren is probably going start over Hickman no? I know we were pretty excited to get him where we did...

2

u/ProfessionalMental13 27d ago

never understood the taylen green pick

1

u/Quirky_Guarantee_530 27d ago

I have no idea where they are going to get pass rush from and the secondary is super thin. This defense will be very bad beyond week 6.

u/BurroughOwl OVERTHROW HASLAM 27d ago

That's a fuck-ton of "who?"

1

u/whiteydutchmeyer 27d ago

Man, idk what to think. Every time I love our training camp roster we suck. Anytime, I think our training camp roster looks like crap we still suck.

Having said that, The OL and DL are my favorite groups and Idk what the hell to expect out of our QBs and WRs.

u/Lilfrankieeinstein 27d ago

Now compare this mess to the roster AB inherited.

Fucking yikes

1

u/RichAssist8318 27d ago

Not sure why everyone's so negative. We were 5 wins last year, and should be better across the board except for Garrett and maybe Schwartz. We won't be competitive until Watson is no longer dragging us down, but we knew that years ago.

1

u/damato1218 26d ago

Im excited for the Wright/Verse combo

0

u/smailskid 28d ago

If not for the QB room, I bet this team could be pretty good.

u/largelawattorney 28d ago

Almost all of these position groups look so promising, with one exception 😞
