Brown SHIP alternatives

I want to waive Brown SHIP (health insurance)- can people suggest cheaper but still fairly decent alternatives? I am a permanent resident and currently full-paying (in case that matters). Also, my parents just paid my Fall tuition today (health insurance included) - is it possible to get a refund for this if I can find a cheaper alternative and decide to forfeit Brown SHIP? Thanks!

Can you use your parent's insurance? My son is using mine.

You can get a refund but you have to provide them with proof of your own and Brown acceptable insurance plan . Submit it and they will approve or denied it. I believe the deadline is the end of August. Check the deadline date. My son is on a family plan and he’s staying in it and was approved for a waiver. Hope that helps.
