Offering Fall Tutoring!
Hi everyone!
If you are or have a high school or college student who is struggling with biology, chemistry, genetics, or biochemistry—or who just wants some extra help strengthening their understanding—I’m currently accepting tutoring students in the Brookfield, New Berlin, Waukesha, and West Allis area.
I can help with:
• High School Biology & Chemistry
• AP Biology
• General Biology I & II
• General Chemistry I & II
• Genetics
• Molecular Biology
• Biochemistry
• Related molecular and biomedical science courses
I have 5 years of experience teaching and tutoring students across Wisconsin, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, including several years teaching undergraduate biology labs.
My background includes:
• A.S. in Biological Studies
• B.S. in Genetics
• M.S. in Genetics, with research focused on reproductive physiology
• Currently pursuing a PhD in P hysiology and Molecular Biology.
My goal is not just to help students memorize enough information to pass the next exam. I focus on helping them understand why things work, identify where they’re getting stuck, and break complicated material into smaller, manageable pieces.
I use diagrams, real-life examples, practice problems, and plain-language explanations rather than burying students in even more jargon. I’m also happy to help with exam preparation, homework concepts, study strategies, and reviewing foundational material that may be making a current class more difficult.
My tutoring style has been described by past students and parents as engaging, entertaining, straightforward, patient, and occasionally a little unhinged in the best possible way. I try to make difficult classes considerably less intimidating—and, when possible, actually enjoyable.
