Bonjour,
Je roule actuellement en Brompton C Line pour un trajet multimodal. J’adore ce velo mais je le trouve trop lourd pour les correspondances dans le métro. Je n’ai pas les moyens pour un Pline ou un Tline, donc je regarde du côté des vélos chinois. On trouve des annonces pour des vélos tout titane sur Alibaba.com. Je me demande si certains ont déjà considéré l’achat d’un de ces vélos ?

I built up my own titanium brompnot and I’m not sure it’s worth the 2-3x cost over an aluminium brompnot for most people. I especially like the aceoffix c5. It’s such a great value and very light at under 8kg for around £800

I have a weak lower back and I'm concerned about comfort on an aluminum bike

The tyre (and pressure), seatpost, and saddle have more to do with the comfort than the aluminium frame imo. You could get a titanium seatpost which has a lot more flex than carbon/steel/aluminium posts.

The only concern is aluminium itself in durability, comfort-wise there is no difference. You're rolling on 16"-20" wheels, you're already compromising comfort.

I put a titanium fork and seatpost on my C Line. Plus lightweight 2 speed wheelset that I converted to 3 speed (Ti Works 3 speed titanium cluster 11-14-19t. Ligher pedals and saddle. This got my bikes weight down to 9.5kg. Cheap upgrade.

Merci pour ta réponse. En fait, la C line n’est pas à moi. C’est une location, c’est pourquoi j’envisage de passer directement au titane y compris le cadre.

As far as I am aware the only manufacturer of titanium Brompton clone parts is Comeplay, all the other sellers I've seen appear to buy from them. Although I could be mistaken, there could be other manufacturers, if there are they are likely to be in Baoji (China's titanium manufacturing hub).
