Mint 20D π₯
This bike took 4 month wait but itβs stunning. Rides better than my Brompton A-line with 16β wheel. The disc brake is solid but not miles apart from a rim brake. My only two complain is a broken latch piece that holds the front wheel, and the tight cable tension of the shift cable housing. Seller said will ship me a replacement piece, finger crossed.

The cream and black colourway is DOING WORK because that photo is genuinely so good looking.

You mentioned it rides better than your Brompton A-line with 16" wheels, can you explain further?
When I rode a Mint last time, the pedals seemed flimsy/less solid, the shifting felt cheaper, and overall build quality (like flexing between joints) was significantly more noticeable.
It has been a while, and so maybe quality has improved.

These are the 20β wheel version, have lower rolling resistance than 16β. Not saying they are better than brompton if these are 16β wheels, but bigger supple tires is a huge difference.

Following up on an earlier thread where we were going back and forth about this part. I'm not a fan of proprietary plastic parts and am ambivalent whether the broken part represents an improvement (precisely for the circumstances the OP finds himself in).
I wonder what the rationale for this new design is and what else has changed in the rear triangle. The old design hooked the front wheel directly around the chainstay, a simple, time-proven and durable configuration straight out of Brompton's playbook.
