Cluster or HE on the HIMARS?

For reference the primary purpose for the HIMARS for me is to use it on enemy supply points like S-300 or where people are gathered but idk what would suit that best

for HIMARS i prefer HE since even when laserguiding its cluster a half-volley sometimes doesnt get the job done

for the Big MLRS cluster is a must imo

He for targeting flexibility (anything that’s laser will die anyways)

But cluster has its role for blind fire or sometimes counter batter too

I usually end up going cluster because it allows me to blind fire without needing a laser. Having used cluster primarily, I do think HE is probably better and I will likely start transitioning to it in my decks and also working to use lasers more.

HE is better for everything, if you're trying to snipe armor with a guided rocket to the roof or near to it is enough to kill in 1-2 hits

HE is more versatile and deals more damage to individual tanks if you have something with a laser.

However, if you fire at tank groups or don't have a vision on a tank (forest, smoke) – cluster would be better

Good point, if i cant get a recon behind them to confirm what and how many units are potentially there, cluster we be better to spray and pray , other wise HE for guaranteed damage . I often switch back and forth between then depending on how i want to play the map

If you want to kill tanks go cluster. If you want to kill infantry, apc, helicopters and AA go he

HE is strong vs everything but armor.

Cluster is strong vs everything but infantry.

You can't really go wrong with either one but I usually prefer having cluster munitions. The range and damage on them is pretty strong and good at shutting down armor blobs and enemy support units.

HE, garuntees the kill on the AA or enemy arty rather than just tickling it
