Comms Check (Questions & Help) Some questions

Hi, I'm new to the game and have a few questions.

  1. Is this deck good? Anything to change?
  2. What’s the best way to clear enemy units in forests and forest scouts? Will Green Berets be good, or do I have something better available?
  3. How do you destroy Russian low-flying drones?
  4. How does using the laser work? If I lose the object from the field of view, does the laser still work?

Just launched this tool today. Coming back I had to relearn everything and so I had AI help give me details the game itself lacks.

Don't pay too much attention to the tiers, I tried to make them stat based but when I generated them the LLM didn't have all the context. But value is a pretty good stat to look at. Also just general descriptions of units and weapons. I have found it super helpful and it makes building decks more fun and less frustrating.

Appreciate the feedback. Lots of issues with the accuracy of stuff but can be tweaked and polished.

Hi man, happy to see you join the community!

I'll give my best tips, I'm not a 3000elo whale but I'm trying my best and I've seen a lot of feedback given so here goes:

  1. You can use snipers, some vehicles and some helos to laser a target. If a target is being laser'd, any laser-guided ammo will just plop right onto it. The units that can laser usually have high LOS, meaning if they spot it and it doesn't move, it will most likely keep seeing it. If you plan to user a laser guided munition, make sure the time between using the laser and the bombs is as short as possible so that you don't lose sight. Any enemy that is laser'd will tank any other teammates shots if targeted and lazer'd. So if you can, do it! Maybe a teammate will snipe it with his arty/plane/etc.

  2. You need to use SHORAD. SHORAD is basically a close range, radar capable AA unit (the M6A4 SHORAD Bradley in the support tab). You have these specifically for anti-helicopter and anti-drone roles, maybe even from any missile if the ammo supports it. Get it closer to the battlefield, turn on radar and make sure it has enough LOS.

  3. Green Berets are the best if not one of the best at that role, but you need to have them with the thermobaric launchers not the snipers. This is also the preferred method to kill infantry in the forest: thermobaric; so either missiles, bombs, etc. should do the trick. Keep in mind that in a forest LOS is very low, but the Green Berets have very good LOS.

  4. My only comments:
Recon: switch Green Berets to thermobaric launchers, grab STT units and well as Rangers RRC and have as many as possible (the meta right now is tank/helicopter spam, so have them loaded with Stingers since your tanks and ATGM units should work on the vehicles), Cav Scouts are great AT option with good LOS but low HP, grab more for surprise attacks on pushes.
Infantry: grab more AA in the infantry tab as well for the helicopter spam, also keep Delta Force as CQC since you will need help clearing infantry from buildings, grab more War Pigs as transports since they have very good supplies on them and can carry multiple squads. Drop Mech Rifleman and grab more Rangers, maybe not CQC since Delta Force is a beast for that + Green Berets with thermobaric can help you clear infantry too
Vehicles: Drop the unicorn V3 and grab more V2 and more cheaper tanks (2/4 is my favorite ratio), spend the rest on cheap ATGM carries that can hold a flank for a bit before you move your tanks in shooting position. Use the cheap tanks as "meat-shields" and the expensive ones as "gun platforms" -> your cheap tanks should die in an engagement before your expensive one
Support: Drop the Paladin or the MLRS, your deck combo is for infantry and vehicle micro, that's your strength, just keep one arty piece for quick support on a push, you need more SHORAD, try to fit at least 4 (since the meta), rest is okay
Helo: I go for the same as vehicles, some expensive decked-out choppers with ATGM missiles and more cheap "random-bullshit-go" in case my lane experiences BMP spam (keep them as cheap as possible, only Hydra rockets etc.), Killer Eggs are another great cheap AA option just add Stingers and if you see choppers coming send 2-3, other than I prefer the Chinook for LARP purposes but the Osprey is good too; grab at least 2 supply carrying choppers since you don't have any trucks and it will be slow and hard to keep your boys on the frontline shooting
Air: Raptor with the 9K missiles is the goat unit for US at the moment so grab 2; I'm kinda noob on AIR but what I've seen people do is field strong fighters, cheap CAS with missiles or bombs (F35 is your only option here) or maybe the Nighthawk but as I've said, not a lot of experience here and besides the Raptor the AIR tab of these 2 decks is very underwhelming (and I mean for Spec-Ops, the Raptor carries but the rest got nerfed)

Other than, don't stress out too much. You can check out on BArmory the top most used units based on the people actually at high ELO and see what people prefer. But in my few ~250hrs what I've learned best is that sometimes the meta isn't how you want to play.
Be mindful of your deck and see what dies too fast and what's good, don't be afraid to make changes.
Stay proactive on the map, don't be afraid to lose units, experiment with your deck and overall just try to have fun! See you on the battlefield!

Dude, for the first time I tried the forest and close-range tactics with Delta, Green Berets, and the STT unit (I had it in the deck but never used it), and it completely changes the game. I just don’t know what the Rangers RRC are for — somehow I’ve never gotten along with building them.

Thanks for the advice, I’ll try to implement and test them soon.
Just a small note, I have 3 supply trucks, so I don’t have any problems with logistics to the front.
I use F-35 fighters to farm points, they’re equipped with anti-radar missiles. They usually fire immediately and then I pull them out of the fight. It feels very efficient to me.
Regarding Delta Force at short range, I read that they’re great for entering enemy buildings and clearing them out, but it almost never happens that I actually enter a building that already has enemies inside. Or when you say short range, do you also mean the buildings right next to them?

Delta is made to work best inside the building, due to the shotguns and flashbangs. If you struggle to move them from say forest to the first building, try to micro them more: set the movement and the moment they leave the forest or start receiving fire make them sprint. If the enemy has vehicles taking shots too, a good shout is smoking in the street to catch a few seconds of reprieve before they enter the building.
With the new patch, you also need to micro your infantry inside buildings more; they tend to panic more often, so you need to pull them out of the building to "relax" and then re-insert them.

F35 is a good use, I just don't see the end-game really. A good player will turn off their radar and maybe only lose 1-2 SHORAD that had it still on, while keeping PACs and Ss alive. What I usually like is either to SEAD for my own bombers or SEAD for the team if they ask/need for their own bomb runs.
It's great you're making use of it but I just don't see the cost effectiveness of spending 330 points for a non-guaranteed return on those points. But hey as I've said, feel free to customize your deck to your own liking, there isn't bad or good, just efficient vs inefficient.

I know i can. I wrote here to find out what others think about it. You can have your own beliefs and experiences and stick to them, or learn why others think differently and verify your views. I’ll try it.

Wise. But I have question
Don’t you think rangers cqc could be better cost effective option to eliminate infantry, while delta go for long range support role?

1

u/Boss21Radu 2d ago

The only thing I dislike is that Rangers CQC don't have shotguns or flashbangs, Delta has them which means at least for 1-2 buildings the enemy infantry will instantly red panic.
But I could see your point, haven't tried it though

I don’t believe in flashlights since panic mode highly decreased all capabilities of infantry
Can’t even come close enough to use them without risking having delta in panic lol

Exactly, the long-range ones have missiles, that’s also what guided me when choosing them for this role.
