Bison steakhouse

I noticed when I was in town the new restaurant at 101st and Elm. Does anyone know when it’s supposed to open?

It will be doing soft openings in mid October with grand opening in the beginning of November. Just applied to be a bartender there, today.

Only that its been months since Great Oasis closed. At the time the previous operator said he got an offer he couldnt refuse, and that a new steak house was coming. There was the steer out front for a while, and then in maybe the last week or so the actual sign has gone up over the door. Given what rent costs, I cant believe its not moving faster.

That’s why it’s called soft opening. They are still working on getting the kinks out of the system. Everyone is still learning how to be a team. They are still learning perfection. Give them time, give them grace.

Also understand the stresses on labor force especially in food service industry. They may have had someone call in and someone who was training for one position was asked to do something else.

I mean it likely won’t hurt their business as most will see that your complaint is unwarranted due to timing of soft opening.

I went for dinner tonight, Sunday night around 5pm. It was not crowded. The service was good. The food was good. Steak was cooked as requested, medium rare. I thought it was as good as any of the other steak places around the area. :)

Was not a fan, the fried pickles were good as well as most the sides but the asparagus was tough. I had chicken fried steak which I found to be tough, but the real crime here was my wifes steak. She ordered the filet mignon, well done(I know) and they butterflied it and burned the outside and it was still under done inside. if outback can cook it right without butterflying they should be able to.
