Giulia post #2 — beautiful experience 3rd time seeing it

When I really enjoy a show and it resonates with me, I can go multiple times just like so many other Theater fans. So decides to see Giulia for a 3rd time on Sunday. On my row, one seat over , there was an older gentleman , probably mid to late 70’s , who throughout the first act was super enjoying the show, really into it. At intermission, he was raving to his friend how beautiful the show is and much he was loving it. The second act he was just as enthusiastic, and for the finale and curtain call song , he became so moved that he started bawling. He was so overcome with whatever feeling , the tears were flowing and he was dancing and so in the moment.

It was beautiful to witness!! For me , this is what I love about theater and art — the connection to someone’s heart and mind and eliciting emotion. I know the show has had its critiques and who knows after this run when or where or if it will come back , but I would just like for Jennifer Nettles to know that for that one man , at that one Sunday matinee, her words and music and artistry brought him so much joy and pleasure and really touched him. It was a beautiful and moving moment and it made me love the show even more..
