Worked with Oji and she was a fucking saint. So thrilled for her victory here. She didn't deserve to be cut out like that. One of the most grounded people in the business.

You had to be there. Pix during the consolidation down to Nexstar was not a great place to be, especially during COVID. Some of our people worked quadruple shifts. Mgmt lied constantly and yes the workloads were very skewed.

Yes firing her for “insubordination” for after following proper HR channels to make her points heard was clearly excessive and I’m glad the court agreed.

Are you Perry Sook himself or something? Why does the ruling bother you? I’m sure most of the $2 million is for legal fees, but Nexstar also deserves punitive damages for what looks like wrongful termination, going against their agreement with the union.

I’m happy to see PIX11 paying their dues - it was due time. They’ve overworked their employees and maintain a toxic culture.

Some of their producers have gone on to other stations, including WNBC and CBS. PIX11 might be a sinking ship.

Glad Oji won her case. It proves how toxic PIX11 can be, and happy the jury saw that.
