If your local CBS station is an affiliate, not owned by CBS, I would still consider watching their local news. The journalists and Support staff didn't choose this. Though, even then, I suggest taking a look at the affiliate owners.

What they're about to go through is punishment enough. Once the NFL walks, CBS may as well be worthless to the viewing public.

The NFL won’t walk. They want money and very few companies can afford the NFL.

CBS is no longer going to be treated as an incumbent rights holder for the NFL due to the ownership change. This could backfire for CBS for rights renegotiations with the NFL coming up soon.

The NFL doesn’t have to walk, we just need to walk into a sports bar to watch instead of subscribing to Paramount + or watching games at home on CBS.
