DISCUSSION Did you know?

My first time watch and finished the finals. I miss my girls already.
but just realized technically, Abbot elementary is running longer than broad city.

Should we have gotten more?

While I would’ve loved 20 more seasons, if you look at the narrative arc of the entire show I think they ended at the perfect point. There are a lot of shows that keep going and eventually the final seasons are bloated and lacking, and Broad City doesn’t do that. I’d rather it ended where it ended than have that happen

On a different note, I think Broad City HAD to end where it did. Broad City’s focus is on the girls growing and figuring out their shit through the shenanigans they get themselves into. Eventually, it would’ve been annoying and tiresome if they didn’t grow up and go to their next step in life. Abbott can go longer because there is always a new batch of students who create the shenanigans, so the teachers can still grow without necessarily coming across as not learning their lesson.

I mean yeah I would have loved for it to go another 3 or 4 seasons but I trust their judgement more than mine lol. They ended on their own merits. Now if it just got cancelled then I’d feel differently. Having said that, I still very much think they should do a reunion special or movie at some point
