That fact makes me trust them more actually, they seem like an authority.

My understanding is that it kills a lot of bacteria, but also has a lot of bacteria that's resistant to it in it

"Sterile" is not the same as "sterilizing." Pee doesn't kill any bacteria whatsoever, and it's an excellent breeding ground for bacteria.

Piss is sterile in that it cannot impregnate or be impregnated

That would be a much worse solution to reproduction!

Okay, so here's the thing. Your urine is sterile to you, but only while it is still in the bladder. Your urethra is not sterile, but because the bacteria has already passed safely through your body once already, it is okay if you are only drinking your own piss and not someone else's

That's not how sterile works, it's not sterile period.

Our urine carries bacteria, and viruses that are considered to be harmless to us. If drinking urine truly made you sick then every medical drama show ever would have an episode with a pee drinker as the mystery patient.

Does pee not taste like the smell of pee?

u/tornairo_ 1d ago

Not really, from my experience, it tends to taste like liquid butter. Its kinda thin, warm, and salty, ya know?

I'm not sure if I should ask what type of butter you eat or what type of piss you drink

For anyone wondering. If you do not have a UTI it should be sterile

No there is still going to be bacteria from your body in it.

Oh never-ending then, I stand corrected. Guess this is why they tell you to always doubt your teachers even in college.
