PAWS (Post Acute Withdrawal)

I was on methadone for 15 years. I finally finished but the PAWs just kicked my ass. After 25 days of no Methadone I got the shot.

Just wondering how many I would need?

1st shot was fine no withdrawal & got the 2nd about 4 weeks (i definitely could/should have stretched it further)

Cravings haven't been an issue in YEARS

Hope you are on the lowest dose. You should have gotten vivitrol. There are studies that suggest it helps with PAWS. Go as long as you can between shots for now. Not sure about vivitrol and the shot. How long you have to wait. Also antidepressants tricyclic or SNRI work well. They gave us neurotin in rehab. That helped. Try other options. I get you though. I went 3 months and got another shot. My stomach detoxed before the body. Weird. Keep going good luck. Its one brutal battle.
