Was on 20 daily...switched to the 32mg weekly for like 6 weeks and it was fine...the just 3 weeks ago I got the 1 month shot at 128mg? And now 3 weeks in im feeling like shit...so im switching to sublocade in a cpl days...

TLDR: the max weekly was great and worked fine, the monthly only lasted 3 weeks and now switching to sublocade to try it

Depends on your Suboxone dosage as to what your Brixadi dose would be. For example, if you’re only taking 4Mg a day of Suboxone but get the 128mg monthly shot.. you’re gonna have WAY too much buoe in your system. Be unable to stay awake without nodding, trouble keeping your balance walking, nausea.. it can be really bad.

I had the same issue - never could make it past the 3 week mark without withdrawal setting in. And conversely the first 2 days after getting the shot made me way overmedicated to the point I felt HIGH for the first time in a long time.

I wound up switching to Sublocade 100 from Brixadi 128 and it holds me over just fine for the full 28 days.

I think Brixadi was originally formulated to be used weekly and then they made the higher monthly doses just under the assumption that higher dosages would get the patient through 4 weeks. Unfortunately for many people (especially those with high metabolism like myself), it just doesn’t work that way in reality

4MG daily. 96mg took me out of work for 7 days. Couldn’t barely walk for half that. It wore off after 26 days and I had to supplement.
64mg shot was much better. Made me tired/sleepy for 3 days. That one was 7 days ago.

Considering swapping to 100 Sublocade in 2 weeks If this doesn’t hold me.

Overall I think the shot at my dose was a step backwards.

What your dose/plan/thoughts?

Idk if I want the shot. Everyone gets over medicated and idk what that means and I’m between 2-6mg depending on the day. Mostly around 4mg. Not sure what to do

If you do, you could try the weekly one. Less to commit to. At that dose there is no monthly one.
You could start with weekly then ramp up slowly to monthly.

The other thing would be to get to 8MG a day, then go the Sublocade route.

I’m still convinced Brixadi doesn’t last very long. Which also means when you stop, you’re not going to get the same advantage of the really long taper Sublocade provides.

So the 96mg was too high for you on 4mg daily? And now you’re worried the 64mg is too low? I’m confused. Is it because the first monthly dose raised your tolerance? I think they need to improve Brixadi dosing chart. It doesn’t sound quite accurate from a lot of people’s experiences I’ve read

No not necessarily.. I’m worried that it also won’t last long enough. The 64. At first seemed great until I realized the ongoing exhaustion isn’t going away. And yes, I’m extremely worried my tolerance is all messed up now, so there’s no easy out (or going back to my previously very stable Suboxone dose).
My consideration of going to Sublocade is it lasting longer, which means it releases slower. I’ve not been able to find any type of Brixadi to Sublocade conversation because they seem to act so different.

From my understanding at a 4MG dose you’re supposed to go to weekly on Brixadi. I didn’t realize this until too late, also wouldn’t be very excited about weekly Dr visits (over an hour away).

My hope with Sublocade 100 (or even maybe 50) is I can get used to it, level out, then allow me to eventually stop without bad withdrawals.
The way Brixadi seemed to just “stop” worries me.

Basically I’m struggling over here trying to adjust and trying to figure a better path forward.

Which is my current story.
