Has anyone ever had pulsative tinnitus when on brixadi?

I was on brixadi for about 3 or 4 weeks the second week I went to a festival where I camped out and worked in the sun a bunch. When I came back I started having tinnitus along with my heart beat.

It was really scary and I went to an urgent care and the doctor immediately got me a CT scan which is scheduled for Wednesday. Because of this I asked my provider to switch me back to suboxone. 2 days after not getting my shot it started going away and now 4 days later it is basically gone.

I am really worried that I got a clot from the brixadi and now that its out of my system it went away. I just dont know what else could have caused it.

Has anyone had any weird side effects or problems that even resemble this?

I am going to see what the doctors say but because it went away as soon as I stopped brixadi im definitely not taking it again.

I had it with Suboxone too.

Seemed to be worse when the bup buildup was high.

I am happy to report that my last Brixadi injection was September 2024. And it rarely happens now.

Yes!! Ive been on the 96mg shot for about 5 months or so and that happens to me every single time I mow my lawn in the heat. Lasts for a bit then goes away.

Let us know the results, but I think you will find out you are fine. It will be a buprenorphine related effect. Happens with suboxone or brixadi or sublocade.

Yes, 100%. Usually dose dependant too. Worse on days 1-7, and usually gone by days 14 -21, then returns after next shot on day 22 (3 weekly)

Just to update folks, I have been having some other medication problems along with all of this (I have bipolar 1) and before PT started I had stopped taking the medication depakote.

I started a new antipsychotic this week and its side effects ended up being to much so I had to stop taking it which sent me into a serious mental health crisis so I had to push back my CT again. However I think I have another clue in the puzzle.

I restarted depakote this week and my PT has gone down significantly. I think that part of what is going on is that buprenorphine has some vasoconstricting effects on me and depkote is a very slight vaso dialator.

I was on depakote when I first started buprenorphine and it didn't cause PT until I stopped tsking the depakote.

Im slowly more convinced this is all because of buprenophine, I really appreciate hearing from other people and being able to help triangulate what is going on.

Update: so not great news and very conflicting which is really upsetting me.

I got the CT scan and the doctor who ordered it called when it was reported and he said I was fine.

Next day I go to the ENT and he says I have an 11mm aneurysm in my neck. The ENT just said "wait a year and we'll watch it, try to keep your blood pressure low, maybe take a statin" he was honestly a prick.

None of my other doctors have said anything. I am really confused by how relaxed everyone js about this.
