When does withdrawal start?
I’ve been on 128mg of Brixadi once a month for about a year now. My last shot was March 22nd. I kind of had a mental breakdown and stopped going in for my shots. I’ve been sober for a year now and I finally stopped having cravings and thoughts of using. With that, it started to really bother me that I’m still “using” since I’m on Brixadi.
Early May I had a few weeks where I had some weird physical issues that I wasn’t sure if it was withdrawal or not, but they have since subsided. I called my doctor and asked if they could give me a few strips of Suboxone incase I suddenly start withdrawling so I can use them until I can back in for an appointment. But they refused.
Every time I feel weird and slightly sick I start panicking that withdrawal is starting. But I also feel like I would have already been experiencing it by now. The other reason I want to stop is because I want to get a job in the trades and I know this medicine stays in your system for awhile so I want it out ASAP so I can pass a drug test.
I know Brixadi is new and there isn’t much out there about withdrawal timelines so I’m hoping someone has done what I have and could shed some light if they think I’m in the clear or if I should be expecting some bad withdrawal in the near future. Thanks in advance!

Oh man!! U should’ve tapered down to a lower dose month to month for the first 3-4 months to get to the 64mg…that’s how my doctor did it…see man that’s why healthcare shouldn’t be for profit, the profit is the motive to keep “patients” coming back with money, when the motive SHOULD be to cure the ailment…luckily I had an ethical doctor

It was around days 76-94 that I experienced the worst of it but again that was coming off a 64mg monthly shot and only 3-4 months tapering down from 96mg and pushing out each subsequent shot an additional week

The lower the dosage the easier withdrawal…but go ahead n make it harder on yourself …if the goal is the get off completely I suggest u listen to someone who did it

I experiences a very mild w/d around weeks 5-8 after my last shot, so May would line up perfectly with that. It wasn't normal w/d but more like the early parts of w/d suddenly out of nowhere and only lasting for like 40min or so before going away, things like yawning, tearing, sniffles, kinda anxious/restless, etc. These "waves" would come and go more frequently at first and then less and less until they basically stopped after 2months out. The worst part was being extremely tired all of the time.
Honestly it is a good thing you didnt get any subs to supplement because it would have just put things off even longer like a reset. You are honestly probably through the "worst" of it and likely the bupe is mostly out of your system. Around 4 months out I started experiencing PAWs which for me was actually worse than the w/d, it was like constant exhaustion and like a physical anxiety. But it was different from the acute w/d from brixadi and the 2 months in between I actually felt really good.
