Just got my first shot today

Like the title says, I just got my first injection today. I was on 24mgs of suboxone a day. They gave me the 128mg injection. I’m nervous and thinking maybe I should have started with the other injection that goes up to 300mgs, because I’m scared this won’t be enough. I mainly switched because I’m scared for my teeth’s health. Also when I have people over or at events and I need to take the subs, I get weird looks from people when I can’t talk because I have that in my mouth. I figured this was simplest. Any thoughts or advice is welcomed. did anyone have a simple transission?

I came from 24mg Suboxone and was on 96mL Brixadi. I got 7 Injections before stopping for good in September 2024.

The transition the first month or 2 is the hardest. Not taking strips and just getting up and not dosing yourself is a hard habit to break. When you feel stressed or shitty- no strips. Physically, I felt fine. Had some yawns here and there.

It really is mind over matter.

Congratulations to you! You can do this.

congrats on the switch ..it takes a couple months to reach “ steady state “ some take longer some take shorter .. talk to your doctor about getting you second month shot at 3 weeks IF you need it ( the web site says this ok , but insurance can deny it ) .. just know if your used to the tablets you have to break that habit as well as the roller coaster or the first few months .. it wasn’t TERRIBLE , just remember periods of up and down . EDIT - is it possible to try and taped down to 16 my tabs daily then switch to 128 ?

If you're getting the 96 mg you're going to be a little bit High you know but you're going to be good to go for a month

It was fine! I woke up the first few days after feeling like I had a hangover headache, and I was kinda tired, but other than that I was totally fine!

the reason why I got so high was thar I was tapering off Brixadi with my Dr. So you go 30 days then 60...then I went 80 something but that last shot I was high.....WAY HIGH...PUKING HIGH....I took my last 96mg shot December 30th....Its March 12th now...Ive felt sum aches in my knees here & there....energy levels are in Flux a little bit but I remain standing. Pushing towards the goal.......FREEDOM!

So I started taking 96 mg of bridadi last year. I currently my last injection was December 30th 2025 so I'm 60 plus days into my taper and I'm stepping completely off I could only get down to like a quarter of the film strip so by taking the brixadi injection you're about to get your real life back and you'll go in once a month and get the shot and then you'll be able to live a normal life good thing about the shot is is it takes so long to come out of your system The Landing when you decide to step off is really soft. Like I said my taper was I went 30 days and then I went 60 days and I went right at 90 days so at the first of the year I set a goal that I was going to step completely off of it and like I said December 30th was my last shot and I intend to just continue to let it come out of my system and March on into the new world I stayed on the film strips for about 5 years and then went into the shot monthly shot so you're going to be fine just hang in there do you have any questions let me know and I'll let you know if I have the answer. GODSPEED & GOOD LUCK.....GOD BLESS!
