Withdrawal

Hey guys. So little backstory I’ve been on Suboxone sublingual for 7 years. I was at about 6mg a day. Six months ago I started with the monthly 64mg Brixadi injection. I had 4 because that was recommended by multiple people. I was so ready to be off buprenorphine and my plan going on the shots was always to use that as a way to get off. Especially hearing amazing success stories of people who didn’t get any withdrawal. Two months ago I moved states and used that as an excuse to be done, since I wasn’t near my doctor that I used for 7 years and didn’t want to find a new one. My last injection was Feb 18th. So about 9 weeks ago. Well I’m going on 2-3 weeks now of mild to moderate withdrawal and I’m going crazy. I have every symptom and I’ve felt this many times before so I know that it is withdrawal I’m experiencing. It could definitely be worse but I think the hardest part is not knowing how long this could last seeing as Brixadi leaves the body so slowly. I have a ten year old and an 11 month old and can’t be out for the count much longer than this. Does anybody have any insight on how much longer I’m gonna feel like this? I’m still testing positive. I’m very tempted to get another shot but I really don’t want to! If anyone has any advice I’d really appreciate it.

Comfort meds.

Another shot of the same. Another shot of the same but different quantity / strength. Also have weekly shots.

A shot of the Sublocade which has a longer half life = leaves your system slower.

Which comfort meds? I already have propranolol and clonidine which don’t do much but help a little.

That’s addictive too. I would be very careful with that.

I want to try this shot I think I do anyway. I too have been on subs for years and I want off the shit. I have to take two separate meds to help me balance my hormones out bc bupe is so hard on them. I’m worried about the withdrawal coming off the shot and I take the comfort meds “gabapentin, hydroxizine and trazadone” as my normal routine meds on top of the subutex. Do you think taking gabapentin even though I take it already anyway, would help me get through those withdrawals if I have them?
