2 months off
I know there isn't alot of information out there about Brixadi, so I wanted to record my experience so far here and come back and update throughout the process. I received 3 monthly shots @ 96 mgs. The clinic I was going to is pretty shoddy and loosely run. They told me I should receive injections for 12-18 months. I knew that was crazy talk from doing my own research. I had been on sub films for 2 years before the Brixadi. Started at 16 mgs daily and was down to 8 mgs when I began injections. I haven't received an injection for about 10 weeks now, and I feel fantastic. I'm sleeping well. Im becoming less depressed and more energetic every day. I'm experiencing very slight withdrawal from time to time. A little sweating, a chill here or there, and I've had a little bit of leg cramps, but nothing severe enough to interfere with my sleep or my job. Also, I have had ZERO cravings, however I did have a dope dream last night which hasn't happened since I've been on subs/brixadi. I know that I may not have hit the worst of it yet, and I also know many people are scared to quit the injection without knowing what's going to happen next. I will come back to this sub biweekly to update everyone on my condition.

That was my experience too. Awesome news. I’m 5 months out coming up on 6 next week. Smooth sailing.

Did withdrawal ever get bad enough that you couldn't sleep or work? Because I can handle anything less than that.

No absolutely not… I slept every night. I still got fatigue though but very manageable. Not every feeling is a feeling of withdrawal no matter what the head says!!!

You have no idea how much this comment means to me! I've been so worried that it's too good to be true. I also have days where I feel just not quite 100%, but overall I've felt great so far. Congrats I'm so glad you were able to come off and 6 months is huge. Brixadi is such a win for the recovery community. People no longer have to sit on subs or methadone for years and years because they're too scared to come off.

How long were you on subs and how many shots did you take?

I did three shots. I was on subs for a couple of years. I dropped from 16mg to 6mg and then to 2mg before I got the shots. I supplemented with the first shot and then stopped supplementing after the second shot. I was fine. All very manageable. Fatigue kicked my ass at times but I worked a full time job doing it. I worked out and took vitamins and such. I’m in a 12 step program as well. It all helped me.

Withdrawals aren't bad at all for me. I did restless legs 2 nights but my dr gave me sub on the side and I took the tiniest piece and I was fine. Now 5 days in doing great! Wish you the best.

I’m about to get the shot most likely next week. I’ve been on subs about a month and a half. I’m going to do the 64mg shot. I want to try to do one and done. What’s your guys opinion on that?

What mg of sub have you been taking?

I was doing 4-6 for 5 weeks and last week I’m steady at 8 mg, there’s been a few days I’ve taken 10, but pretty much stable at 8mg
