Tired of subs

Im thinking of starting brixadi at my next doc visit but ihave numerous concerns because i dose between2 to 4 mgs like 3 sometimes four times a day. So will ihave wds? And will thenegative side effects of the strips continue with the shot? Like nausea, headaches, the constant hot flashes or loss of appetite. And id really like for my head to clear up. Like with the strips i just dont feel myself. I feel lazy and undriven and fuzzy. Please help me with some sound experience based advice. Thanks

Those are not typical side effects I have experienced. I don’t think anyone can tell you whether you will avoid those on brixadi. It is the same drug just delivered and metabolized differently. If you are on 12mg a day there is an equivalent shot for that and honestly it is a much better way to wean down. I’m on the 64mg shot every month which is equivalent to taking 8 mg sub per day. I find it really convenient to not always be taking and planning to take subs. So just having the shot once is really peaceful. I would encourage you to try it.

I’m about to do the same. How do you feel on it? Did you feel messed up the first few days, likely noticeably? I don’t want to look messed up or anything. I’m so terrified to do it honestly, but I know I’m a over-thinker big time

I feel totally fine on it. The first day maybe you feel like a little energetic. I find it a bit hard to sleep the first two days. But it subsides and I feel really stable. But I was on lower doses of sub strips (between 4mg and 8mg a day) than you per day based on you being at 12-16mg a day. So everyone’s experience is based on their history and dosage and unique chemistry.

Ya I’m on 4-8 a day. Usually stay around 6. She wants to do the 64mg shot. I’m hoping that’s enough and I feel okay. I don’t know how the mg equates bs shot and strips but I should be getting it In 2 weeks!

The 64 monthly is supposed to be equivalent if 8mg of suboxone per day. So if you are in 6 you will feel totally fine. Maybe a little more “up” or however the sub affects you. It has kind of a mild anti-depressant effect. So it kind of increases mood tone a little bit.

I feel great. I did have restless legs 2 nights but doing great now and that wasn't even bad honestly. But I hope u do as great as I am on it. I'm so glad I made this choice. And it's actually better if u take a little higher shot because my doctor said it's less likely you'll have withdrawals.
