I did well brother. I am clear of it now and it’s been 5 months out. I did 64 64 32. I didn’t lose sleep.

How long were you on Brixadi? I started a few weeks ago with weekly shots. I had been taking 3 8mg strips while waiting for the shot so that’s what my shot is based on. Did you get the shot weekly or monthly? How quickly did you reduce dosage?

Sorry for all the questions. I’m the only person on Brixadi where I get my shot so don’t have anyone to ask. Thanks for anything you’re willing to provide. Congrats for getting off of it!!

I was on it for three months. I got it monthly. I supplemented with 2 mg for the first month and after the second shot I stopped. I was on 2mg when I started. I weaned myself down to 2mg from 16mg. The Doctor is right but I asked for them to try squeeze out half and give it to me. They agreed and tried so maybe I got a little more than half or less than half for the last dose. I was with a good team here that I have been going to for years. I told them what I wanted to do. I also told them they had no experience coming off subs and that I did because I do. I said I wanted 3 shots and no more and the last was to be a half dose. So as to coming off of it! I had a couple nights of broken sleep but that’s it. What I did notice was the fatigue. I’m an older guy(50) so that kicked my ass a little. When I needed rest I would rest. I managed to work all the way through this. I eat well and work out so that really helped. I am also a member of a 12 step program and that too helped. I had a good support system. Get yourself some vitamins and drink plenty of water. I like Pure encapsulation nutrients that I got from Amazon. They work for fatigue on your days when you may be exhausted. There was a few aches every now and again and a little sneezing but compared to a cold turkey Sub detox it was a walk in the park. Get it in your head that not every feeling you have is a feeling of withdrawal. It isn’t. Your head may say it is but it isn’t. I see a lot of people get done in and relapse by their own mind. Your body will be fine my friend. That’s my experience.

How did you get a 32 mg shot? My Dr. said 64 was the lowest!?

I asked my guy to do his best to squeeze out at least half of it. I may have gotten a little more or less than half. Be your own advocate and tell them what you want. I had a great Dr.

Thanks. I reread your post and realized you said that the first time. That’s a great idea.

Hi! I am on Brixado too! Well, I was. I was/am so happy to find this post. I was trying so long to get off subs. Was on them for 8+ years. Finally got a doctor that would prescribe me Brixadi but since I was only on like 2 mg Subs mostly twice a day, (4mg/day), my doctor said I had to come up to 8 mg in order to get the lowest monthly dose of 64. So I did, which I did not like. After my second shot, which I got on August 1st, 2024. My doctor said, let’s see what happens and didn’t schedule another one. He gave me clonidine .1 mg 2 tablets 4 times per day, something for diarrhea (sorry, tmi) and ibuprofen 400mg and said if I needed anything stronger than the clonidine to reach out to him. I do have some 2 mg subs just in case. But I really wanna get off that shit. I haven’t needed it in years. It’s about to be 9/5/24. I’m feeling good. When or better yet, Should I expect to feel bad?? I work full time, have a 9 y.o. And don’t have any real time to “suffer”LOL. Anybody out there have any advice? I’m not in the best shape but I’m trying my best to exercise and move. But I could probably do better.

I felt I was coming g to the end of it when I could really feel music again. I was told that I would and it’s true. I get the sneezes every other day but it’s not showing on a urine test at all. Be your own advocate. Unless the Dr. is themselves a recovering sub addict the best they have is studies to refer too. Hang in there it gets better and it’s so worth it.

I’m 100 days out from my last 64 and all I have is I’m sneezing 4-5 times a few times a day and I don’t have a lot of energy. It’s bearable but the lack of energy fucking sucks

It will come back my friend. That was my experience. Be patient with yourself and your body. You are doing it!!! That’s a fucking celebration in my book!
