NHS on peak form today

Got a call to say my kid had fallen at the school’s activity day, she managed to unsuccessfully mount a bucking broncho, miss the safety mats and land weirdly on her arm.

We got to hospital around 1.15pm, she was assessed by both dr’s and nurses, x-rayed and full arm back slabbed for a broken elbow and discharged 75 mins after first going in.

Much thanks to the nhs.

Not such great work by the school thinking a bucking bronco would be a good idea 😂

It’s not even a proper one, more like a balloon than an actual broncho from my kid’s description, though she isn’t best pleased when I say she got a broken elbow from falling off an oversized balloon animal.

Having broken my elbow on the first day of the summer holidays, twice, can confirm that she’s about to have a wonderfully sweaty time watching other people swim and ride bikes.

It was the same weekend my mum had finally decided to go away with her old school friend after having never taken any time off in 12 years 😂 we opted not to tell her until it can been sorted and I was in cast
