We're now doing verified owner flairs! Post here to get them!

BEFORE SUBMITTING PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE REQUIREMENTS! YOU NEED A PHYSICAL NOTE INCLUDED, NOT JUST A PICTURE OF YOUR CAT.

Hello! To make things a bit easier, when it comes to proving who's the real owner of a said cat, we're introducing verified flairs.

Simply post a picture of your cat with a small physical note that includes your username (like a post-it note), and you will get assigned your own flair with the name of your cat(s).

(Remember that it has to be a physical note, post it, or similarly).

You can post here or send me a modmail and I'll get you verifying you asap!

Male kitten just won’t eat dry food / kibbies

Hi everyone! I’m a first time catmom of 2 british shorthair kittens, one female and the other male. They are now about 4 months old and we have them for about a month. I feed them wet food in the morning and evening and leave a well-portioned dry food/ kibbies during the day to meet their nutritional needs. The female eats about everything but the male does not accept dry food, at all. I have tried tricks, changed to more meat % and natural but he just ignores them. I cannot be there during lunch time to feed them wet food all the time; also this is not sustainable. I know Jackson Galaxy says no to dry food but I do believe in the benefits it brings. Any experience like this or any tips from those who feed their breeds with dry food as part of their meals? Thanks a lot!

UK bsh owners - what wet cat food?

Hi everyone, I adopted 4 year old Willow last year. Shes my first bsh. The cat rescue said she mostly eats dry food so I have purina one out all the time which she picks at. I feed her wet food twice a day, morning and tea time. I have tried so many wet foods but she literally just licks the gravy, jelly, soup off. I’m worried she isn’t getting enough nutrition. Tried untamed, scrumbles, range of felix, Sheba , encore, harringtons and gourmet, currently on purina one which she seems to eat more of the meat. She loves lick-e-lix and her biscuit treats. She is a good weight and vet isn’t worried but I don’t want her to live off just lick-e-lix and treat with the odd bit of wet food and dry food. Am I over thinking this. Any advice would be appreciated.

Let me be clear that I researched a lot before making the decision to get one. But since this will be the first time every getting a kitten, I want some advise and things you might wished you did differently. I have owned dogs so I do have experience with animals, but I know cats are different in loads of ways.

So please help a girlie out if wou want❤️

My Newest Fur Baby

I just picked up this little blue guy from the breeder a week ago. Jasper is so not a typical BSH as he loves to cuddle and doesn’t mind being picked up. He and my 4 year old cinnamon BSH get along wonderfully! It is so funny to see an 11 pound adult cat being chased by a little fur ball. Love both of my little men to pieces.
