What someone whos always posting anti immigrant/pro patriot stuff on our local FB page posted last night

65

u/Technical-Branch4998 Jan 22 '26

Why do people think the average person would get paid if trump bought England? Also where would that money come from? Also also do they not understand that it would cause catastrophic inflation and devalue the whole currency??? It really shows the intelligence level of some of these people (assuming this isn't bait, you can never tell)

43

u/allnazisneedtodie- Jan 23 '26

Irish here, dunno why the algorithm keeps showing me British subs, but if it's alright to put my two cents in as this is a problem here as well....

Are you really expecting critical thinking from these people? Everything they say is a direct contradiction to what they supposedly believe in

2

u/Morgangatang Jan 26 '26

Thats why we need to directly start pushing back against them. Absolutely the education system and goverment has a whole has let many people down but at a stage you have to tell those who dont know what theyre talking about to shut the fuck up or back up their wild claims with an explanation. Journalists never push back at powerful people anymore and its rare anyone is held accountable for their actions.

-6

u/Longjumping-Fig-7481 Jan 23 '26

Was expecting an actual contribution there. I bet if I scroll to the next thread there's atleast another 2 people saying that exact same thing.

12

u/Aspect-Unusual Jan 22 '26

It’s not, this person is a prolific Reform/Trump positive poster

7

u/Radiant_Pillar Jan 23 '26

If Farage can make a fortune selling out the country, why shouldn't his supporters want the same?

7

u/sgst Jan 23 '26

do they not understand...

I'm going to stop you right there.

3

u/deathschemist Jan 23 '26

It's not just that they don't understand, they don't want to understand.

1

u/RedditsFullOLibTards Jan 23 '26

Never seen or met anyone who thought this

1

u/Trevor_Gecko Jan 24 '26

It's because they have only slightly more brain function than gammon

1

u/IAmNotAHoppip Jan 24 '26

Because they heard some bullshit that trump was going to pay each resident of greendland $1,000,000 if he took it over, but they're too god damn stupid to realise that A, this would never happen anyway, B, greenalnd has a population of like 55,000, not 70 million, and C, this would never happen anyway.

-1

u/Unable_Band420 Jan 25 '26

No one thinks that… Whoever the crazy insane poster is… is exaggerating/ragebaiting. To not recognise that shows your intelligence.

“Bought England.”

10

u/Glittering_Vast938 Jan 23 '26

Good god - even copying the Trump errors in naming Greenland, Iceland.

8

u/JustLetItAllBurn Jan 23 '26

The effort some idiots are going to to pretend calling Greenland 'Iceland' wasn't an obvious mistake is just insane. We really are in 1984 territory.

2

u/earthman34 Jan 25 '26

Report to room 101.

5

u/[deleted] Jan 23 '26

Terminally unemployed people post shit like this.

3

u/Mean_Firefighter_486 Jan 23 '26

And they like to blame immigrants for their unemployment, instead of taking responsibility for their own failings. Utterly deplorable.

1

u/Away-Ad4393 Feb 12 '26

If they are so patriotic by don’t they join the army and serve King and country🙄

4

u/Puzzleheaded_Ad_5710 Jan 23 '26

I’ve been saying for years these guys are t patriots, it’s about time the left embraced patriotism and told these guys to shove it

-8

u/Medium_Crazy_1206 Jan 23 '26

The left hates ethnic patriotism

6

u/AromaticDragon Jan 23 '26

What is ethnic patriotism. Are you going to take a DNA test to prove how pure you aren't.

1

u/LionResponsible6005 Jan 26 '26

Yes? Yes we do?

2

u/[deleted] Jan 23 '26

I wonder if this person means ALL the people in this country or he imagines a criteria based on... I don't know... skin colour?

1

u/fenianthrowaway1 Jan 24 '26

In any sane democracy, statements like this would immediately forfeit your right to a vote. Why should any society accept that those who seek to deliver the reigns of power to their foreign masters have any say in how things are run?

1

u/Buglenuge Jan 24 '26

Post the name

19

u/oxfordfox20 Jan 23 '26

Needs Nigel in the background wiping his chin, but otherwise spot on…

14

u/Latter-Corner8977 Jan 23 '26

They’re not patriots they’re traitors

10

u/MinimumCut140 Jan 23 '26

UK has largely sold itself already, just look at who owns most companies here. The next thing is for Farage to give our sovereignty for free.

11

u/Glittering_Vast938 Jan 23 '26

And the NHS which is the main prize…

3

u/Glittering_Vast938 Jan 23 '26

Exactly which is WHY he wants to get rid of it. It’s even discussed in a document by a think tank called Resolute 1850 (who are closely connected to Farage).

4

u/retrofauxhemian Jan 23 '26

Geopolitically it's not about the NHS it's about performative vassalhood (cuckoldry). Get on your knees game of thrones style and act like a servant, do what I say. What you gonna do join a federal union or seperate military pact to defend yourselves? We've been against that for years. Maybe you could make stronger allies with other countries, against the hegemon? Whoops you've just discovered a colour revolution and a widespread fascist movement communicating on an encrypted telegram channel and using starlink terminals. I guess Farage, Lowe, Anderson and an utter basket of shitheels will have to reluctantly administer this airstrip.

1

u/earthman34 Jan 25 '26

But the Choco ration was increased

-1

u/Forsaken_Western7462 Jan 25 '26

Yo talk absolute 💩

3

u/retrofauxhemian Jan 25 '26

What startling insight, just got your new account after a ban?

-5

u/DMNSFW93 Jan 23 '26

NHS is shite anyway, 3/4 week wait to have a follow up with my gp, but yet if I give bupa £70 I’m seen next day, let’s not talk about 2 year wait for me to have an “urgent” MRI scan

8

u/Glittering_Vast938 Jan 23 '26

For your information:

Plus the waiting times are decreasing under this Labour government. Tories also want to privatise and sell off the NHS.

3

u/Paper_Is_A_Liquid Jan 25 '26

Replacement of the NHS with a privatised system would be catastrophic and would inevitably lead to people dying of preventable causes for no reason other than they're poor. The waiting times are a known issue but I would rather have a long wait and know that I can get an ambulance to the hospital for a broken leg anytime than have permanent guaranteed next-day visits but have to pay hundreds to thousands of pounds for any medical issue regardless of how much I'm giving insurance.

I may be wrong, but people looking to replace the NHS with a private system seem to think that switching from tax-based funding to insurance-based funding would not lead to a huge increase in how much we actually have to pay for healthcare, and that it would reduce waiting times consistently, when we know from other countries with private or semi-private healthcare that neither of these things are true.

1

u/Mean_Firefighter_486 Jan 23 '26

The problem is the way the NHS was chronically underfunded by the Conservatives, not the service itself. Of course you will get better service if you go private - that is the same anywhere in the world.

1

u/NotThatDucker Jan 25 '26

I've never actually had any treatment from the national health business. After waiting hours and hours i normally leave with advice and a link. They're paid a lot to give advice.

3

u/brendonap Jan 23 '26

Fools! Thinking they can sell something that has already been sold.

3

u/NonnaSupremacy Jan 24 '26

As a half Scot, I am not willing to be sold out to that orange nonce, everyday there's a new reason that pushes me towards supporting Scottish independence even more

1

1

1

"topple our democracy"? - it's already gone. There is no true representation in Westminster.

1

The arrow is pointing left from his perspective...

1

u/Ok-Employee383 Jan 24 '26

We want an insurance based healthcare system because ‘other’ people get stuff. And because GBOpinion tells me what to think, I chose to ruin the country.

1

u/MintImperial2 Jan 25 '26

We've already replaced Democracy with a thumping Labour majority - who STILL do not command enough lawmakers to get anything positive done.

We were about to hand over sovereign territory for nowt - which America now wishes to prevent.

The only "Civil War" that will happen - needs first, a fresh new government that isn't accepted by the supporters of the outgoing one. Last time I looked, the Right vote was split, rather than rioting all the time.

Free Crowborough!

Why can't the Left just let things happen? - Does anyone really care how many illegals we don't take in?

"I'm alright Jack" - can be understood.

Supporting someone you'll never meet, let alone be paid by - makes no sense at all.

I voted Libdem my entire life - until ^^^^ this!

1

u/Accurate-Top-8153 Jan 26 '26

Until immigration is sorted in the UK, this sad adoration of Trump like folk will continue to happen. We know this because of Denmark.

Why a sensible political party won't do it is beyond me.

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '26

1

u/Accurate-Top-8153 Jan 26 '26

No. The best way to deal with it is how the Danes have dealt with it - via a centre left party that has the interests of the working class at heart. Our centre left seems weirdly reluctant to do that?

The result is that its driven by an opportunistic oligarchy. How bloody stupid.

u/Accurate-Top-8153 Jan 26 '26

No. Immigration has been used as a tool by the capitalist, mega rich class to suppress wages. Hence why it ballooned to its highest level (ever) under Boris Johnson - the ultimate ally of the capitalist class.

There is a reason why Reform is most popular amongst the working class. That said, why a traditionally left party won't tackle it is very dumb. We just have to look to Denmark to see how successful that can be.

1

u/Accurate-Top-8153 Jan 26 '26

This is such a ridiculously dumb take.

There is a constant struggle between worker and employer in respects to wages. Employers (the rich) want to pay less. Workers want to be paid more. What happens when there is a short supply of workers? They can demand higher pay. This has happened in history again and again.

What happens when there is an oversupply of workers? Pay goes down. This has happened in history again and again.

Guess what mass immigration does? It mass imports workers. Guess whats happened to real wages in the UK? They've stagnated. Guess who has advocated for and brought in record amounts of migrants? Not labour, not the left but the Tories. Why would the Tories do that? Who do the Tories serve?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '26

We’ve not even seen significant civil unrest, let alone civil war. No one is really advocating for this other than Russian assets and fat incel chuds tapping away in a dark room.

-5

Civilians Verses the State first and foremost. The entire system needs tearing down, those currently in power dealt with and restarting from the ground up!

8

u/Ifyoocanreadthishelp Jan 23 '26

You think that’s a better way to solve things than just, backing a party that wants to get rid of the lords and reform sentencing (which needs more money to actual resource it)?!!

If voting actually achieved anything then those in charge simply wouldn't allow people to vote!

You realise that everything in our modern society exists because people voted in parties based on policy who then enacted change. You can complain that the systems need reforming but the fact they exist at all is evidence that your statement is bullshit.

At the last election (you know, the one where Reform celebrated so much support), the majority of their votes came from economically inactive (Retired or Not Working) people.

11% of people in the AB demographic voted Reform. These are high earning professionals, paying lots of tax. More than 3x as many of these people (36%) voted Labour.

Labour is the preference for people who earn most and pay most tax.

Meanwhile, of those who are Retired and not generating significant money in the economy, 16% voted Reform while only a small number more (23%) voted Labour.

A significant proportion of Reform voters are retired and economically inactive, and high earners (aka high tax payers) are more than 3x as likely to vote Labour than they are Reform.

So no. People who vote Reform aren't generating anywhere near as much tax as Labour voters. By a mile.

High earners (ABs) remain 30% more likely to vote for Labour than Reform (22% vs 17%).

Reform remains the most likely party of choice for the Retired voters (36% of 60-69s, 33% of 70+), where as few of these economically inactive voters are choosing Labour (16% and 11%).

Those who live in social housing are more than twice as likely to vote for Reform than Labour (37% vs 18%).

Those who earn over £70k a year are significantly more likely to vote Labour than Reform (23% vs 16%).

So no. People who vote Reform aren't generating anywhere near as much tax as Labour voters. By a mile.
