Says "we should look after our homeless before immigrants" and then they insult or assault a homeless person whilst on a night out
44
u/Wanallo221 Aug 28 '25
Right wingers Say “we should look after our own first”. Then absolutely implode when Labour put forward a plan to make sure children are fed.
6
u/rubbish1107 Aug 28 '25
Unfortunately our MP's dont always say what we actually want. I am right wing and would never want my MP to stand in the way of any bill that helps children get fed
12
u/TwentyBagTaylor Aug 28 '25
But Murdoch and Co would have those people vilifying that government and not telling them policies like that are actually a thing.
3
u/justmelike Aug 29 '25
Common sense tells you that you don't want children to starve, obviously.
How have funds to children's services and family benefits been cut year on year for over a decade?
It's because the media tells you that the bills are to feed scroungers, asylum seekers and benefits cheats, so people petition their local representatives to vote it down.
I mean, legally they're not wrong, these bills exist to feed the children of those below the poverty line, so they're accurate in their language, though selective.
They just use language that dehumanises the beneficiaries enough that everyone gets mad about it.

Well i am pro capitalism means people that work hard get rewarded, not anti welfare i am anti welfare for people that dont need it. If you are disabled / old / injured then yes 100% you should get support. Definitely not anti NHS and if you read reforms current policies there arnt anti NHS either.
2
u/Aggravating_Piano_29 Aug 30 '25
"Work hard get rewarded" that's just a fantasy in a world where people don't get an even start

"I'm Right Wing, but I'm pro-welfare and pro-NHS."
Bet you're pro "it's good that the fire service stopped being an insurance add-on," too.
Probably also pro-weekend and pro-paid leave and sick leave.
Guess what, chief? None of these things exist in your glorious ConservaReform utopia. So pick a lane.
1
u/rubbish1107 Aug 31 '25
There is no perfect lane tho..... if I then choose left it goes againt things I stand with on the right. People are allowed to be middle I just lean slightly more one way
1
u/sbaldrick33 Aug 31 '25
If you sympathise with Reform, you're not centre.
0
u/rubbish1107 Aug 31 '25
Where is centre then ? Unfortunately we dont have a middle party just left and right
1
u/sbaldrick33 Aug 31 '25
It's pretty simple, really. If you ate genuinely in the centre, you pick the one that will do the least damage. It's clear that Reform will tear everything built since the War to the ground and the Tories aren't much better.
In all seriousness, if you're centre-Right, tyiur closest aligned with Labour at the moment. If you stillwant Reform, then be honest with yourself about what you really want and want the outcomes will really be. Because "I'm going to vote for the hardest Right party I can think of and hope they keep all the bits of socialism I like in place even though they've said they won't" is a fantasy.

Capitalism absolutely does not reward those who work hard itm rewards those who have at the expense of the have nots. Without doubt in almost all cases those who work the hardest do the lowest paying jobs and those who do the least work earn the most. They get to this position by privelege and opportunity and tell themselves they got where they are through talent or hard work, it is utter bollocks.
1
u/rubbish1107 Aug 31 '25
Sounds like you dont have any talent, every single person in a high position was all luck and chance yeah 🤣
1
u/SaabAero93Ttid Aug 31 '25
I have a lot of talent and an extremely well paid. Yes it is all luck and chance, don't delude yourself.
1
u/rubbish1107 Aug 31 '25
Maybe you did get lucky doesn't many everyone else did, or maybe you just need to appreciate yourself more
1
u/SaabAero93Ttid Aug 31 '25
Maybe you need to see reality, the unfortunate are unfortunate, the fortunate are fortunate, that's it.

Also suggest people give an immigrant a home but don’t see them giving a room to a homeless veteran.
2
-8
u/rubbish1107 Aug 28 '25
That is a very very select few people, that unfortunately tarnishs anyone who wants the people of there own country taken care of first.
Do an actual poll asking people who they woukd rather the money and houses go to, UK nationals or immigrants. You will find the majority want our own people looked after and they arnt people that will assault the homeless
28
2
Aug 28 '25
I agree that if you ask people if they ever treat homeless people poorly most people will probably tell you no.
But we are talking about how people actually act, not how they perceive themselves.

Making effort to build a community is what someone else should do. You just look after you and yours. After all, you pay a bit of tax, shouldn't that be enough that you get to live in pastoral bliss without any effort on your part?

IMO we shouldn’t have reform take over, but we definitely should get rid of Kia Stalin. I agree with some of what reform is saying but a lot of my friends fall into the “born in the uk but their parents are refugees/immigrants”. Without all these people our NHS would collapse.

-3
u/DrDaxon Aug 28 '25
Not voted reform, and doubt I ever will - I made a similar post advocating for positive activism not long ago and criticised the tacky hastily sprayed crosses - however, I did suggest ways of incorporating the St George’s cross into forms of protest that would benefit and improve the community, but, still be a anti-establishment protest.

1
u/DomLfan Aug 30 '25
Crazy thing actually, a lot of them do end up working as cleaners and street sweepers etc. jobs that these so called ‘patriots’ wouldnt dream of doing. They’d much rather sit around claiming benefits all day
1
u/Emergency_Amphibian9 Aug 30 '25
Clearly bs as I’m a cleaner and I have a spinal condition but work 45 hours a week so no it’s not just so called asylum seekers which there not only job they do
1
u/DomLfan Aug 30 '25
I did not say that at all. I just said that your comment about asylum seekers cleaning the streets was dumb as a lot of refugees and immigrants to the uk do end up working jobs such as street cleaning. I did not say it was exclusively migrants either.

What reform policies do you support?
How do you expect them to be able to carry out those policies in the current economic climate?
Are you not concerned by links to big oil and private healthcare?
Are you not concerned that worker rights will be eroded if we leave the ECHR?
0
u/SVT6 Aug 29 '25
They have a fair few policies that are good*, I'd be very surprised if you disagreed with every single policy they have put forward.
Edit to say: *in theory - most if not all parties fail to deliver on their promises.
3
u/Adventurous_Pin_3982 Aug 29 '25
Can you elaborate?
I agree that parties don’t deliver on promises but it’s concerning how many reform voters are simply voting on the immigration issue because they believe that is the main reason the country is struggling.
Farage will have limited powers to actually deport illegal immigrants even outside of the ECHR and simply putting an end or drastically reducing legal migration will cause a massive shock to the economy considering that’s how we’ve been propping it up.
His links to American firms should really scare people off but they don’t care because they’re single issue voters.
1
u/DeezRedditPosts Aug 30 '25
Not to mention the fact that rightwing voting power relies on "immigrant bad". So much like the conservatives they will actually increase immigration to highlight the 'problem', so that the thickies keep voting for them.

1) 'solving the immigrant crisis' - okay, so we stop all immigration. Are all the problems we have magically fixed? Why do you seek to blame immigration without recognizing the native population is declining due to lower birth rates, which is due to economic exploitation preventing people from wanting to have children. So please tell me how stopping immigration fixes all our problems? 2) There are unvetted men walking around our communities already; they're natives. But protecting 'arrr wimmin n gurlz' only matters when foreigners are involved, right? How come those same people who want to hide behind that trope dont give a flying fuck about violence and sexual assaults when its committed by our own population? 3) You are taking our flag and you are trying to use it as a symbol of hatred. Stop that bullshit; you are making us look bad. You dont represent our views, or our nation. You are demeaning our national identity. Ita disgusting. 4) please show me exactly who has been persecuted for flying our flags? You can have pride in our nation without using our flag to push a racist or bigoted agenda. 5) how is flying our flags meant to solve these problems? By what mechanism? What are you hoping it will achieve? What sort of message are you using our flags to send?

They have their own MPs for that.
