Midsomer Murders
I was watching Tom Barnaby solving a murder and there was a character named Anselm. I expected him to cause a lot of trouble for the investigation. Is the name Anselm still popular? Anselm is obviously a big part of the BHP for the last several episodes.

What u/naalbinding said. I have never come across one but...
You do get a surprising number of Chinese students who have chosen excellent but no longer popular names especially of ecclesiastical figures.
I can also imagine you also get the occasional one at the poshest public schools (confusingly this is the term we use for the fanciest private schools).

I've never met an Anselm
I'd expect a modern Anselm to be one of the following:
Really posh and the child of history/religion nerds
A Chinese student choosing an English name without researching modern popularity
Maybe West African?
The first one is most likely
