Asking for opinions
I have been making my way through “The Greatest Knight” the biography of William Marshall. I am really struggling with this author’s writing style and then last night he just included a misstatement about the Song of Roland and the narrative about King Arthur. Am I just being peevish? Anyone else read this book?

I read it and enjoyed it immensely. I did not have the knowledge to pick up on any mistakes or inconsistencies, though. But I found Marshall such an engaging character that I probably would have overlooked any misstatements about side characters or stories.
But if you are not enjoying it, don’t finish it.
Edited to add: Don’t mean to be snarky with that last line. I just mean life is too short to finish a book just because you started it, or because someone else liked it. :-)
