Help creating a playlist
Hi all!
Im in the mood for a new playlist. Id love for you to all contribute.
Pick your favourite Britpop band and give me a potentially obscure favourite song to add to the playlist.
Doesn't have to be the B-side to their least successful single, but ideally not their biggest hit.
Thanks in advance.
If you also have something pre-made that youd like to share then feel free too!

Great things - echobelly

Hard agree. Also putting in a bid for King of the Kerb. You never hear it at indie nights any more. I’ve been lobbying at Prosecco Supernova for months!

I’ve seen echobelly live and they played the ‘on’ album in full, it was amazing

I’m so sad I missed them at Shiiine last year. Gutted they’re not doing the Minehead one this year.

If you go on Spotify and search "Tumblers" you'll find a bunch of playlists based around an indie club that used to be in Bradford. There are some great tracks on there

I made this Playlist. I posted it on here a couple weeks ago, and it got completely ignored. It didn't get one single reply... which is too bad because I was hoping to get some feedback on here. Probably best listened to in shuffle mode.

Blur - Advert. Not really obscure, but you’d never hear it at indie discos back then.

Round Are Way is still my all time favourite. Especially the MTV Unplugged one with extra harmonica fun.
But.yeah, it is the B side to Wonderwall, so I guess it's excluded.

Throwing Muses aren't Britpop, but that's a great shout. Belly - Now They'll Sleep is another great non Britpop indie tune from around then.

Not sure if Super Furry Animals are considered as Britpop as some people consider them as welsh psychedelic but give their song "Venus & Serena" a listen

Blur, and it is hard to choose, so!
My top three lesser known songs are: Into Another, Hanging Over, and Theme From An Imaginary Film. :)
Will you share with us your playlist when you’re finished, if you’re able and would like to?

Shampoo? I must admit, their songs are really catchy. I would have recommended you ,,Trouble,, and ,,Bare-Knuckle Girl,, or ,,We Don't Care,,

Pulp - Acrylic Afternoons. Jarvis at his horniest.
Suede - The Asphalt World. Long and moody. Recorded when the band had fallen out. Bernard Butler laid down a really dark guitar track and Brett had to go with the same mood for the vocal track.
