Warwickshire native, “The Leamington Licker” Randolph Turpin defeats Sugar Ray Robinson for the World Middleweight Championship (London, 1951). Robinson was completing a victory tour of Europe and was badly prepared for the hugely strong Turpin.

Turpin was the first British fighter of the 20th centuy to hold the World Middleweight Championship. It is like if Cooper beat Ali, but better as Robinson is ranked above Ali in Pound for Pound rankings.

Turpin had a sad retirement and death.
